2025 թվականի հոկտեմբերին Ծաղկաձորում կայացած «Հայաստանի հանքարդյունաբերական ֆորում 2025» համաժողովի ընթացքում հայտարարվել է կենսաբազմազանության զարգացման և պահպանման գործում մեծ ավանդ ունեցող միջազգային փորձագետ Ջոն Հոբսի մրցանակի սահմանման մասին:
Մրցանակի ներկայացման մանրամասները կհրապարակվեն 2025 թվականի հոկտեմբերին:
2025-2026 թթ. իրականացված ծրագրերը կարող են հավակնել Ջոն Հոբսի մրցանակին, ով Հայաստանի բարեկամն էր և համաշխարհային ճանաչում ունեցող փորձագետ, որը հավատում էր պատասխանատու և կայուն հանքարդյունաբերության գաղափարին։
Ջոն Հոբսը WWF-ի նավթի, գազի և հանքարդյունաբերության գլոբալ ծրագրի, ինչպես նաև Ասիայում, Աֆրիկայում և Եվրոպայում իրականացվող մի շարք կարևոր ծրագրերի հեղինակն էր:
2016–2018 թվականներին նա կամավոր հիմունքներով մասնակցել է Հայաստանում Ամուլսարի նախագծի անկախ խորհրդատվական խորհրդի աշխատանքներին։
Հայաստանը 2026 թվականին հյուրընկալելու է կենսաբազմազանության վերաբերյալ COP17 համաժողովը, և հատկապես ոգևորիչ է սպասել այս մրցանակին հավակնող ազդեցիկ ու նշանակալի ծրագրերի։
