Հայրենիքը գնում է դեպի ինքնաքանդում, իսկ սփյուռքը՝ ինքնամաշում։ Պետք է այս ամենին վերջ տալ համահայկական ուժերով։ Այս մասին հայտարարել է  Մեծի Տանն Կիլիկիո կաթողիկոս Արամ Առաջինը գահակալության 30-ամյակին նվիրված միջոցառման ժամանակ։

«Հայրենիքը գնում է դեպի ինքնաքանդում, իսկ սփյուռքը՝ ինքնամաշում։ Պետք է այս ամենին վերջ տալ համահայկական ուժերով։

Ահավասիք, ապրում ենք մեր պատմության խաչմերուկում: Այս իրավիճակում մենք նոր ղեկավարների, նոր մոտեցումների, նոր կեցվածքի կարիք ունենք, որպեսզի դուրս գանք ներկայիս ճահճացած վիճակից:

Կրկնություններով մենք չենք կարող առաջ գնալ, մասնավորապես ներկայիս ամենօրյա փոփոխություններով լի ժամանակներում։ Չենք կարող ինքնակենտրոն և ինքնանպատակ ապրել, պետք է բացենք մեր աչքերն ու տեսնենք, թե ուր է գնում մեր ժողովուրդն ու հայրենիքը: Աշխարհագրական պայմանները փոփոխվում են, ու այսօր կարիք կա, որ երիտասարդները նոր շունչ բերեն, քանի որ հենց նրանք են ճանաչում ներկայիս աշխարհը։ Ըստ կաթողիկոսի` մեծ տեղ պետք է տալ երիտասարդությանը, վստահել նրանց, որովհետև նրանք են կերտելու հայ ժողովրդի ապագան։

Երբ նույն աթոռներին նույն անձինք են նստում, որոնք նույն մտածելակերպով են կաղապարված, աթոռն էլ է մաշվում, աթոռի վրա նստողներն էլ»,- ընդգծել է Արամ Ա-ն։
