Արմեն Հովասափյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրել է․ 

Երեկ բավականին դժվարությամբ, բայց ինձ ստիպեցի լսել նախկին գլխավոր դատախազ Արթուր Դավթյանին։ Անկեղծ ասած՝ առանձնապես մեծ սպասումներ չունեի, քանի որ վստահ էի՝ ոչ մի «սենսացիոն» բացահայտում կամ «աննախադեպ» դրվագ չի լինելու, և սպասումներս լիովին արդարացան։ Դավթյանը, իրավաբանական բարդ ձևակերպումներով, փորձում էր ամեն կերպ շրջանցել սուր հարցադրումներն ու քաղաքական թեմաներին տալ անհոդաբաշխ և ստանդարտ պատասխաններ, որոնք ստեղծված իրավիճակում պարզապես զրոյական արժեք ունեն։

Ավելին՝ իր խոսույթում նա, դասական նիկոլականին բնորոշ ոճով, փորձում էր ամեն հարցում որևէ մեղավոր «նշանակել» և ուշադրության վեկտորներն ուղղել տվյալ ուղղությամբ։ Եթե առաջնորդվենք Դավթյանի տրամաբանությամբ, ապա մի դեպքում մեղավորը ՀՀԿ խմբակցությունն էր, որն, ըստ իրավաբանական գիտությունների դոցենտի, 2018-ի մայիսին պատրաստվում էր բոյկոտել Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին անձեռնմխելիությունից զրկելու ԱԺ նիստը, ինչը իրականության հետ ոչ մի աղերս չունի և ընդամենը ենթադրությունների ու ռետրոսպեկտիվ ժանրից է։ Այդ դրվագում ինձ մոտ տպավորություն ստեղծվեց, թե ինքն իր քայլ է փորձում արդարացնել։ Իսկ Արթուր Վանեցյանի վերաբերյալ նա ասում է թե. «էդ ինչ հիմքեր ուներ, որ ուզեցել է ներկայացնի, և ես էլ կալանքի չէի գնա», ինչից փորձեց եզրակացնել, թե դրանք քաղաքական հիմքեր էին և իրավական արժեք չունեին։

Այլ կերպ ասած՝ մոտս այնպիսի տպավորություն էր, թե նախկին դատախազը, ով Նիկոլի հետ աշխատել է 4,5 տարի, իրեն ներկայացնում է որպես «կատարյալ ու հրաշալի» պաշտոնյա, որը երբեք ցուցումներ կամ հանձարարականներ Նիկոլից չի ստացել (ինչպես ինքն էր պնդում)։ Իսկ արդյունքում ստացվում է, որ գեներալ Մանվել Գրիգորյանի կալանավորումը, դատարանների ապօրինի շրջափակման պարագայում որևէ իրավական գործողություն չկիրառելը, Արցախի հանձնման գործընթացում ցուցաբերած լռությունը, ընդդիմադիր գործիչների նկատմամբ հետապնդումները, բազմաթիվ մարդկանց ապօրինի կալանավորումները, ինչպես նաև ՀՓՇ-ի և Դիմադրության շարժումների դեմ իրականացված «բեսպրեդելը» եղել են Դավթյանի իմացությամբ, և նա մեծ հաշվով դրանց հետ «օկ» է եղել։

Ու մի բան էլ՝ պաշտոնից դուրս գալուց հետո քննադատական խոսք ասելը, թերևս, ամենահեշտ, բայց միաժամանակ ամենաանշնորհակալ գործերից է։ Ցավոք, դրա պրակտիկան մեր իրականությունում շատ տարածված է։ Հարցն այն է՝ եթե տեսնում էիր, որ այս ամենը երկիրը տանում է դեպի կործանում, ապա ի՞նչ քայլեր էիր անում դա կանխելու համար։ Իսկ երբ հիմա ասում ես (և ոչ միայն դու), թե «աշխատել եմ, ծառայել եմ պետությանը», դա արդեն վաղուց հին երգ է ու որևէ կերպ չի աշխատում։ Մի օր էլ սրանք իրար հերթ չտալով են հայտարարելու. «ախպեր, դե մեր ձեռը ինչ կար, մենք պետությանը ծառայել ենք»։
