Լեհաստանի վարչապետ Դոնալդ Տուսկը հայտարարել է, որ Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Զելենսկին ասել է իրեն, որ Կիևը պատրաստ է շարունակել պայքարը Ռուսաստանի դեմ առնվազն «մոտակա երկու-երեք տարին»։
Բրիտանական The Sunday Times թերթին տված հարցազրույցում Տուսկը հայտնել է, որ քննարկումը տեղի է ունեցել հինգշաբթի և նվիրված է եղել Ուկրաինայում շարունակվող պատերազմին և Արևմտյան Եվրոպայի նկատմամբ աճող ռուսաստանյան սպառնալիքին։
«Ես չեմ կասկածում, որ Ուկրաինան կշարունակի գոյություն ունենալ որպես անկախ պետություն, – ասել է նա։ – Ամենակարևոր հարցն այժմ այն է, թե որքան զոհեր դեռ կունենանք։ Նախագահ Զելենսկին ասաց ինձ հինգշաբթի, որ հույս ունի, որ պատերազմը տասը տարի չի տևի, բայց Ուկրաինան պատրաստ է կռվել ևս երկու կամ երեք տարի»։
Լեհ առաջնորդը զգուշացրել է, որ Ռուսաստանը բախվում է «դրամատիկ» երկարաժամկետ խնդիրների, որոնք խորանում են ԱՄՆ-ի նոր պատժամիջոցների ֆոնին՝ ուղղված նրա նավթային ոլորտին, սակայն ընդգծել է, որ Մոսկվան դեռևս ունի առավելություն մեկ կարևոր ոլորտում։
«Ռուսներն իսկապես լուրջ տնտեսական խնդիրներ ունեն, – ասել է Տուսկը։ – Նշանակում է, արդյոք, որ կարող ենք ասել՝ թե հաղթում ենք։ Իհարկե՝ ոչ։ [Ռուսներն] ունեն մեկ կարևոր առավելություն Արևմուտքի, հատկապես Եվրոպայի նկատմամբ՝ նրանք պատրաստ են կռվել»։
Խորհրդածելով Եվրոպայի արձագանքի մասին՝ Տուսկը նշել է, որ «դառը բավարարվածություն» է զգում՝ Մոսկվայի թշնամական վարքի մասին տարիներ շարունակ արված նախազգուշացումների ֆոնին։
«Մենք խոսում ենք Եվրոպայում պատրանքների դարաշրջանի ավարտի մասին։ Վախենում եմ՝ արդեն շատ ուշ է։ Շատ ուշ՝ բոլոր սպառնալիքներին պատշաճ պատրաստվելու համար, բայց դեռ ուշ չէ՝ գոյատևելու համար», – ասել է նա։
