Եթե մի քանի տարի առաջ ամուսնական պայմանագրերը խիստ հզվադեպ հանդիպող երեւույթ էին, ապա այսօր, դա չափազանց տարածված երեւույթ է՝ հատկապես հաշվի առնելով համաշխարհային ճգնաժամն ու ամուսնալուծությունների օրեցօր ավելացող քանակը։ Ամուսնալուծությունից հետո ոչ մի ինտիմ Փաստաբաններն ասում են, որ նախկինում ամուսնական պայմանագիրը համարվում էր անարգանք ամուսինների հանդեպ։

Կանայք այսօր հաճախ ամուսնական պայմանագրում ցանկանում են նշել նվերների պահը, որպեսզի ամուսնալուծությունից հետո ամուսինը չկարողանա դրանք խլել։ Բացի այդ, ընդունված է տուգանքը՝ դավաճանության դիմաց։ Ամուսնական պայմանագրերից մեկում լուրջ թվեր են հնչել՝ մեկ միլիոն դոլար՝ յուրաքանչյուր դավաճանության դիմաց։ Որոշ կանայք եք փոխհատուցում են պահանջում՝ կապտուկների դիմաց։ Նրանք չգիտես ինչու, վստահ են լինում, որ ամուսինը անպայման ձեռք է բարձրացնելու իրենց վրա։
