«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

Բատուտը ցատկելու համար նախատեսված սարք է` մետաղական հիմքի վրա ձգված ամուր հյուսված ցանցից պատրաստված։ Երեխաները (չնայած՝ ինչո՞ւ միայն երեխաները) շատ են սիրում ցատկել բատուտի վրա:

Իսկ ե՞րբ է այն ստեղծվել:

Պարզվում է՝ էսկիմոսներն ու ալեուտներն են ունեցել բատուտի նման խաղեր: Նրանք դրա համար օգտագործում էին ծովափոկի առաձգական կաշին։ Ցատկելու համար մարդիկ կողքերից բռնում էին կաշին, ինչպես հրշեջները, երբ փորձում են ծածկոցներով փրկել այրվող շենքերի վերին հարկերից ցատկող մարդկանց:

19-րդ դարում հայտնի ակրոբատ Պաբլո Ֆենկն է սկսել օգտագործել զսպանակներից և ցանցերից հավաքված իր սարքը։ Բատուտի այդ նախատիպը օգտագործվում էր անվտանգության ապահովման համար։ Իսկ արդեն 20-րդ դարում կրկեսի ակրոբատներն են սկսել զարմացնել հանդիսատեսներին իրենց՝ «մահճակալների վրա կատարվող ցատկերով»։ Այս ամենը վկայություն է այն մասին, որ բարձր, անվտանգ ցատկերի գաղափարը ծագել է շատ վաղուց:

1930-ականներին ամերիկացի Ջորջ Նիսենը, որը պրոֆեսիոնալ ակրոբատիկ և ջրացատկի մարզիկ էր, իր ավտոտնակում հորինել է սարք՝ բարձր ցատկելու համար։ Նա պինդ գործվածքը առաձգական ժապավեններով ամրացրել է կախովի մետաղական հիմքի վրա։ Եվ այդպես ծնվել է ժամանակակից բատուտը։ 1942 թվականին Լարի Գրիսվոլդը և Ջորջ Նիսենը Սինար-Ռապիդսում հիմնել են բատուտների արտադրության Griswold-Nissen ընկերությունը։ Սկզբում դրանք առաջարկվում էին միայն հանգստի և ժամանցի համար։ Որոշ ժամանակ անց Ֆրանսիայից օդաչուներն են սկսել օգտագործել բատուտի վրա ցատկերը վեստիբուլ յար ապարատի աշխատանքը բարելավելու համար: ԱՄՆ-ում, իսկ այնուհետև ԽՍՀՄ-ում սկսել են օգտագործել բատուտը տիեզերագնացների ֆիզիկական վարժությունների համար։ Այն լավ է մարզում մարմինը զրոյական ձգողականության պայմաններում աշխատելու համար: Այդ մասին անգամ Յուրի Գագարինն է նշել իր հուշերում:

Բատուտի վրա ցատկը արագ է տարածվել ամբողջ աշխարհում և դարձել սպորտաձև։ 1948 թվականին տեղի է ունեցել ԱՄՆ-ի՝ բատուտի վրա ցատկերի առաջին առաջնությունը։ Ամերիկան դարձել է այդ նոր սպորտաձևի ծննդավայրը:

Բատուտի վրա ցատկը Եվրոպայում հայտնվել է երկու լեգենդար մարդկանց՝ շվեյցարացի Կուրտ Բեխլերի և անգլիացի Թեդ Բլեյքի շնորհիվ։ Նրանք շատ բան են արել այդ սպորտաձևն ամբողջ աշխարհում մասսայականացնելու համար: 1964 թվականին Գերմանիայում հայտնվել է Բատուտի միջազգային ֆեդերացիան։ 1964 թվականի մարտի 21-ին տեղի է ունեցել աշխարհի առաջին առաջնությունը, որին մասնակցում էին և՛ տղամարդիկ, և՛ կանայք։ Նոր սպորտաձևի ժողովրդականությունը տարեցտարի աճել է, առաջացել են նոր դիսցիպլիններ, ինչպիսիք են, օրինակ՝ սինխրոն և անհատական ցատկերը: 2000 թվականին բատուտը ներառվել է օլիմպիական ծրագրում։

Ավելացնենք միայն, որ 1965 թվականին Երևանում անցկացվել է Խորհրդային Միության՝ բատուտի վրա ցատկերի առաջին առաջնությունը։
