Ըստ Օքլենդի ոստիկանության վարչության տվյալներով՝ ​​այս ամսվա սկզբին գողերը Կալիֆոռնիայի նահանգի թանգարանից ավելի քան 1000 պատմական ցուցանմուշ են, հաղորդում է NBC News-ը։

Կողոպուտը տեղի է ունեցել հոկտեմբերի 15-ին, տեղական ժամանակով մոտավորապես ժամը 3:30-ին, Կալիֆոռնիայի նահանգի Օքլենդի թանգարանում, ասված է ոստիկանության դեպարտամենտի չորեքշաբթի օրվա հայտարարության մեջ։

«Կասկածյալները մտել են թանգարանի տարածք և գողացել թանգարանի հավաքածուից ավելի քան 1000 ցուցանմուշ, դրանց թվում՝ բնիկ ամերիկացիների հյուսածո զամբյուղներ, զարդեր, այլ պատմական արտեֆակտներ և նոութբուքեր»,- ասված է հայտարարության մեջ՝ հրապարակելով գողացված իրերից մի քանիսի լուսանկարները։ Ոստիկանությունը համագործակցում է ՀԴԲ-ի հետ՝ գողության հետաքննության համար։

«Կատարված գողությունը հանդուգն գործողություն է, որը զրկում է հանրությանը մեր նահանգի մշակութային ժառանգությունից,- ասել է թանգարանի գործադիր տնօրեն Լորի Ֆոգարտին։ -Այդ իրերի մեծ մասը թանգարանին նվիրաբերել են առատաձեռն հովանավորները»։

Իշխանությունները չեն հայտարարել որևէ մեկի ձերբակալության մասին և չեն բացահայտել գողացված արտեֆակտների մոտավոր արժեքը: Պաշտոնյաները հայտնել են, որ Օքլենդի կողոպուտի մասին լուրը հայտնի է դարձել Փարիզում Լուվրի կողոպուտի գործով հինգ նոր կասկածյալների ձերբակալությունից հետո: Այդ գողության մեջ ներգրավված զարդերը դեռևս չեն հայտանաբերվել:
