Ռուսները ռազմավարական հարձակողական գործողություն են անցկացնում Պոկրովսկի մոտակայքում: Նրանք կուտակել են հսկայական թվով զորքեր՝ առավելություն ստեղծելու և Ուկրաինայի պաշտպանական գիծը ճեղքելու համար: Դրա մասին The New York Post-ին ասել է Ուկրաինայի բանակի գլխավոր հրամանատար Ալեքսանդր Սիրսկին:
Ըստ նրա՝ Կիևը «ամուր պահում է այս լոգիստիկորեն կարևոր քաղաքը», հաղորդում է УНИАН-ը:
«Իրավիճակն առաջնագծում իսկապես լարված է. թշնամին ռազմավարական հարձակողական գործողություն է իրականացնում: Նրանք կուտակել են իրենց ուժերի մեծ մասը՝ ստեղծելով առավելություն՝ փորձելով ճեղքել մեր պաշտպանական գիծը և գրավել այս տարածքը»,- պարզաբանել է նա:
Նշվում է, որ Ուկրաինայում ներկայում տեղակայված մոտ 700 հազար զորքերից Մոսկվան Պոկրովսկ է ուղարկել մոտ 150 հազարին: Հարձակման են ուղարկվել նաև հզոր մեխանիզացված խմբեր և ծովային հետևակի չորս բրիգադ:
Սիրսկին հայտարարել է, որ Ռուսաստանի նպատակն է հյուսիսից, հարավից և արևելքից շրջապատել Պոկրովսկը և հարակից քաղաքները՝ կտրելով մատակարարման գծերը և մնացած բնակչությանը ստիպելով լքել այն, ապա իրականացնել «վերջնական մանևր»՝ ամբողջ Դոնեցկի շրջանը գրավելու համար։
