«Չորրորդ իշխանություն» թերթը գրում է. «Այսօր՝ փետրվարի 11-ին, լրանում է Սերժ Սարգսյանի 2011 թվականի հրամանագրի ժամկետը, որով երկարաձգվել էր ՀՀ ազգային անվտանգության ծառայության պետ Գորի Հակոբյանի պաշտոնավարման ժամկետը: Իսկ սա արդեն նշանակում է, որ այսօր արդեն հայտնի է դառնալու ԱԱԾ նոր պետի անունը:
Սերժ Սարգսյանը մինչեւ վերջ պահեց ինտրիգն այս նշանակման մասով, մինչեւ այսօր գրեթե ոչ մեկին հայտնի չէր, թե ում է վստահվելու Գորիկ Գուրգենիչի աթոռը:
Երեկ քաղաքում ակտիվորեն լուրեր էին շրջանառվում, թե ԱԱԾ նոր պետը դրսից է նշանակվելու: Այսինքն նոր պետը չի լինելու ԱԱԾ համակարգից, ինչն այնքան էլ ողջունելի չի եղել Գորիկ Հակոբյանի կողմից: Ավելին՝ խոսակցություններ կային, որ նախօրոք պայմանավորվածություն է եղել՝ նոր պետը լինելու է համակարգի ներսից, եւ Գորիկ Գուրգենիչն էլ շարունակելու է աշխատել ԱԱԾ շենքում: Այսինքն՝ նա լինելու է Սերժ Սարգսյանի՝ համապատասխան գծով խորհդականը, բայց իր աշխատասենյակը լինելու է ոչ թե նախագահականում, այլ ԱԱԾ-ում:
Սակայն Գուրգենիչի պլանները փոխվել են, երբ նա հասկացել է, որ պետ են նշանակում դրսից, ըստ այդմ՝ իր հետ չաշխատած մեկին: Ինչ կորոշի Սերժ Սարգսյանը՝ հայտնի կդառնա այսօր»:
