«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.
Հայաստանում հոգևոր դիմակայության ֆոնին Վաղարշապատ խոշորացված համայնքի ավագանու առաջիկա ընտրությունները ճակատագրական նշանակություն են ստանում։ Պատահական չէ, որ փորձագետների մեծամասնությունն այն, ինչ տեղի է ունենում, 2026 թվականի խորհրդարանական ընտրություններից առաջ գլխավոր փորձ են անվանում։
«Իշխանությունները չեն կարող իրենց թույլ տալ պարտվել «Էջմիածնի մատույցներում»։ Սակայն ՔՊ-ն այս ընտրություններին մոտենում է ջախջախված հեղինակությամբ. ի թիվս գլոբալ հանգամանքների, այս կուսակցությունը ներկայացնող նախորդ քաղաքապետը՝ Դիանա Գասպարյանը, ստիպված է եղել լքել պաշտոնը՝ ամուսնու և ընտանիքի անդամների հետ խրվելով կոռուպցիոն սկանդալի մեջ։ Եվ կուսակցությունը, որն արդեն որերորդ անգամ իրեն արատավորել է նեպոտիզմով, ո՛չ բարոյական, ո՛չ քաղաքական առումով իրավունք չունի հավակնել ազգի հոգևոր մայրաքաղաքի կառավարմանը»,«Փաստի» հետ զրույցում ասում է քաղաքագետ Աղվան Պողոսյանը։
Նրա խոսքերով, իր էությամբ այս ընտրությունները չի կարելի զուտ համայնքային ընտրության տրամաբանության մեջ դիտարկել. «Սա ազգային ինքնագիտակցության վերջին բաստիոնի նկատմամբ տոտալ վերահսկողություն հաստատելու գլոբալ արշավի մի մասն է։ Հասկանալով, որ Եկեղեցու հոգևոր հեղինակությունը չի կոտրվի ազնիվ դիմակայության մեջ, Փաշինյանը ձգտում է այն վերցնել խիտ վարչական օղակի մեջ։ Նրա կուսակցության թեկնածուներն այս ընտրություններին գնում են ոչ թե քաղաքացիներին ծառայելու, այլ սրբազան քաղաքում ոստիկանական շրջափակման ռեժիմ հաստատելու համար, որն ապահովում է անարգել ճնշում Կաթողիկոսարանի վրա։ Ազգային իրավունքների և հիշողության պաշտպանությունից ինքնակամ հրաժարված ռեժիմի համար Եկեղեցին դարձել է ամենավտանգավոր այլախոհը՝ այն ամենի կենդանի պահապանը, ինչ իշխանությունները փորձում են ջնջել դասագրքերից և բուն հիշողությունից՝ Ցեղասպանության ցավը, Արցախի ողբերգությունը և հայերի ազատության ու սեփական արժանապատվության անքակտելի իրավունքը։ Ոչնչացնելով այդ հենակետը՝ Փաշինյանը հույս ունի այն փոխարինել իր «գործընկերներին» հարմար պատմության տարբերակով»։
Ինչ վերաբերում է բուն իշխանության թեկնածուին, ապա, քաղաքագետի խոսքերով, «Արգիշտի Մեխակյանի նախընտրական քարոզարշավն ու հերոս հորից ժառանգած ազգանվան ներքո քողարկվելը վարչական ռեսուրսի կիրառման դասագիրք են. նա ոչ թե զբաղված է դասական քաղաքական քարոզչությամբ, այլ վարչական ռեսուրսի օգտագործմամբ փորձում է տիրանալ ընդդիմադիր էլեկտորատին»։
