 ՀՀ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանն փետրվարի 10-ին ընդունել է ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարի տեղակալ, Ասիայի և խաղաղօվկիանոսյան տարածաշրջանի տնտեսական և սոցիալական հանձնաժողովի գործադիր քարտուղար Շամշար Ախթարին:

Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ Նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, զրուցակիցները քննարկել են Հայաստանի և ՄԱԿ-ի Ասիայի և խաղաղօվկիանոսյան տարածաշրջանի տնտեսական և սոցիալական հանձնաժողովի միջև համագործակցությանը վերաբերող հարցեր: Հանրապետության Նախագահը կարևորել է վերոնշյալ հանձնաժողովի գործունեությունը և մեր երկրի անունից պատրաստակամություն հայտնել զարգացնել այդ կառույցի հետ փոխգործակցությունը:

Նշելով, որ այսօր Ասիայի և խաղաղօվկիանոսյան տարածաշրջանը կանգնած է լուրջ մարտահրավերների առջև, ինչը էապես խոչընդոտում է տնտեսական զարգացմանը, Սերժ Սարգսյանը կարևորել է միջազգային հանրության կողմից ակտիվ ջանքերի գործադրումը՝ ձևավորելու համընդգրկուն օրակարգ, մշակելու համապատասխան ծրագիր, որն ունակ կլինի արձագանքելու և դիմակայելու այդ մարտահրավերներին: ՀՀ Նախագահը վստահեցրել է, որ Հայաստանը պատրաստ է իր համեստ մասնակցությունն ունենալու այդ գործում և մեծապես կարևորել է հանձնաժողովի հետ փոխգործակցությունը՝ որպես քննարկումների լավ հարթակ:

Շամշար Ախթարը, համակարծիք լինելով տարածաշրջանի իրավիճակին ՀՀ Նախագահի տված գնահատականի հետ, ընդգծել է, որ լավատեսորեն է տրամադրված ապագայի նկատմամբ և շնորհակալ է Հայաստանի համագործակցության պատրաստակամության համար:

Նա ներկայացրել է տարածաշրջանում կայուն աճ ապահովելու, այդ նպատակով անհրաժեշտ խթանիչ միջոցառումներ ձեռնարկելու ուղղությամբ Հանձնաժողովի առաջիկա ծրագրերը՝ կարևորելով տարածաշրջանի երկրների տնտեսական տեսլականը և քաղաքական հանձնառությունները:

Հանդիպմանը երկուստեք կարևորվել է տարածաշրջանային ինտեգրացիոն գործընթացների և համագործակցության զարգացումը:

Անդրադարձ է եղել նաև դեպի ծով ելք չունեցող երկրներին վերաբերող հարցերին և այդ համատեքստում՝ ՄԱԿ-ի Ասիայի և խաղաղօվկիանոսյան տարածաշրջանի տնտեսական և սոցիալական հանձնաժողովի կողմից իրականացվող ծրագրերին։
