Սամվել Կարապետյանի կալանավորումը և նրան արդեն ավելի քան հինգ ամիս ազատությունից զրկելը դարձավ այն սահմանագիծը, որից հետո ակնհայտ դարձավ՝ գործող իշխանությունը ոչ մի արգելքի ու կանոնի առաջ կանգ չի առնում։ Գործարարի, բարերարի և «Մեր ձևով» ժողովրդական շարժման առաջնորդի դեմ կիրառված այս գործընթացը ոչ միայն քաղաքական հաշվեհարդար է, այլև ազդակ՝ ուղղված Հայաստանի տնտեսական անվտանգությանը։ Երբ պետությունը ոչ թե պաշտպանում է ներդրողին, այլ ինքն է խլում բիզնեսը, ստեղծում արհեստական քրեական գործեր ու բանտ է նետում խոշորագույն ազգային կապիտալի ներկայացուցչին, դա նշանակում է միայն մեկ բան՝ տնտեսության հիմքերը խարխլվում են պետական մակարդակով։

Այս իշխանությունը Սամվել Կարապետյանից ՀԷՑ-ը խլելով և նրան անօրինաբար կալանքի տակ պահելով ոչ միայն ցույց տվեց իր իրական նպատակները, այլ նաև բացահայտ մարտահրավեր նետեց հայաստանյան բիզնես միջավայրին։ Եթե հայազգի միլիարդատիրոջ կարող են զրկել իր սեփական ընկերությունից և ամիսներ շարունակ պահել անազատության մեջ, ապա ի՞նչ երակայություն կարող է ունենալ որևէ այլ ներդրող։ Ո՞ր օտարերկրյա գործարարը կհամաձայնի գալ Հայաստան, երբ տեսնում է, որ այստեղ բիզնեսը կախված է ոչ թե օրենքից, այլ քաղաքական կամքից։ Ավելին՝ բազմաթիվ գործարարներ այս պահին մտածում են իրենց կապիտալը երկրից դուրս բերելու մասին, քանի որ պետությունն այլևս չի ապահովում խաղի կանխատեսելի կանոններ։

Վերջին ամիսների իրադարձությունները ցույց են տալիս, որ իշխանությունը պայքարում է բոլորի դեմ՝ Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցու, եկեղեցականների, սրբազանների, ոչ ՔՊ-ական համայնքապետերի, քաղաքական գործիչների, հասարակական շարժումների ու ազգային ակտիվի դեմ։ Այս ամենին պետական իշխանությունը անվանում է «դեմոկրատիա», մինչդեռ հրապուրիչ անվան տակ ձևավորվել է բացարձակ կամայականության մեխանիզմ։ Եվ արևմտյան կառույցների լռությունը միայն խորացնում է կասկածները, որ տեղի ունեցողը նրանց անուղղակի հավանությամբ է իրականացվում։

Սամվել Կարապետյանի կալանքի ժամկետը բազմիցս երկարացվել է՝ առանց բավարար իրավական հիմնավորումների։ Նոյեմբերի 17-ին կրկին սպասվում է նրա կալանքի երկարացման քննարկումը։ Հասարակության համար այս դատարաններն այլևս արդարադատության դահլիճներ չեն, այլ մեխանիկական ստորագրող մարմիններ, որոնք պարզապես կատարում են քաղաքական հրահանգը։

Հենց այդ պատճառով «Մեր ձևով» շարժման անդամները բոլորին կոչ են անում լինել դատարանի մոտ՝ պաշտպանելու ոչ միայն Սամվել Կարապետյանին, այլև մեր համընդհանուր իրավունքը՝ ապրել օրենքով, ոչ թե կամայականությամբ կառավարվող երկրում։
