Սլովենիայի նախկին նախագահը պաշտոնապես առաջադրվեց ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարի թեկնածու

Սլովենիայի նախկին նախագահ Դանիլո Տյուրկը (2007-2012 թթ) պաշտոնապես առաջադրվել է ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարի թեկնածու: Բալկանյան երկրի կառավարության համապատասխան նամակը փետրվարի 10-ին հրապարակվել է համաշխարհային կազմակերպության Գլխավոր ասամբլեայի նախագահի պա շտոնական կայքում:
«Դանիլո Տյուրկը ամբողջ աշխարհում ճանաչված քաղաքական դեմք է, դիվանագետ եւ միջազգային իրավունքի պրոֆեսոր՝ քաղաքականության մեջ եւ միջազգային գործերում աշխատանքի հսկայական փորձով»,- ասված է Սլովենիայի փոխվարչապետի ստորագրած նամակում:
Դանիլո Տյուրկը դառնում է ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարի պաշտոնի հինգերորդ թեկնածուն: Ներկա դրությամբ նրա մրցակիցներն են՝ Խորվաթիայի ԱԳ նախարար Վեսնա Պուսիչը եւ Չեռնոգորիայի ԱԳ նախարար Իգոր Պուկշիչը, Մակեդոնիայի Հանրապետության արտաքին գործերի նախկին նախարար Սրջան Քերիմը եւ ՅՈՒՆԵՍԿՕ-ի գլխավոր տնօրեն Իրինա Բոկովան (Բուլղարիա):
Պան Գի Մունի լիազորությունները, որը գլխավոր քարտուղարի պաշտոնն զբաղեցնում է 2007 թվականի հունվարի 1-ից, լրանում է դեկտեմբերի 31-ին: ՄԱԿ-ի Կանոնադրության համաձայն՝ համաշխարհային կազմակերպության ղեկավարը նշանակվում է Գլխավոր ասամբլեայի կողմից՝ Անվտանգության խորհրդի առաջարկությամբ: Սպասվում է, որ ԱԽ-ն թեկնածուների քննարկումը կսկսի հուլիսից ոչ ուշ: Ընդսմին դիվանագետները չեն բացառում, որ առաջին անգամ ԳԱ-ի հաստատմանը կարող Է ներկայացվել ոչ թե մեկ, այլ մի քանի թեկնածու, հաղորդել է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
