Իռլանդիայի ազգային հավաքականի գլխավոր մարզիչ Հեյմիր Հալգրիմսոնը Չեխիայի ընտրանու դեմ Աշխարհի առաջնության փլեյ-օֆֆի վճռորոշ հանդիպմանն ընդառաջ անդրադարձել է անցյալի ցավալի պարտություններին՝ հատուկ հիշատակելով Հայաստանում կրած պարտությունը։
Մարզիչը զուգահեռներ է անցկացրել Չեխիայի՝ Ֆարերյան կղզիներից կրած անսպասելի պարտության և Իռլանդիայի՝ Երևանում գրանցած արդյունքի միջև։ Հալգրիմսոնը նշել է, որ մեկ ձախողումը դեռ ոչինչ չի նշանակում՝ հիշեցնելով Հայաստանի դեմ խաղից հետո ստեղծված ծանր իրավիճակը։
Խոսելով Չեխիայի հավաքականի մասին, որը վերջերս սենսացիոն պարտություն էր կրել Ֆարերյան կղզիներից (ինչի պատճառով հեռացվել էր գլխավոր մարզիչ Իվան Հաշեկը), Հալգրիմսոնը նշել է.
«Մենք պարտվեցինք Հայաստանում, և այն ժամանակ քիչ էր մնում ինձ հեռացնեին իմ զբաղեցրած պաշտոնից, ուստի սա նմանատիպ իրավիճակ է։ Ես 100 տոկոսով վստահ եմ, որ երբ վերլուծենք խաղերը, կտեսնենք, որ դա ընդամենը պատահականություն էր։
Սա խենթ մարզաձև է: Կարելի է տեսնել ամենատարբեր արդյունքներ, և հուսով եմ, որ Հայաստանում տեղի ունեցածը մեզ համար եզակի դեպք էր։ Ոչ մի անհարգալից վերաբերմունք Հայաստանի նկատմամբ, բայց դա պարզապես վատ ելույթ էր մեր կողմից, և նման բան կարող է պատահել թե՛ մեզ, թե՛ չեխերի հետ»,- մասնագետի խոսքն է մեջբերում The Irish Sun-ը։
