ԱՄՆ բնակիչը, որը երկրի պատմության մեջ թռչնագրիպի H5N5 շտամով վարակված առաջին մարդն էր, մահացել է։ Այս մասին հայտնել է Վաշինգտոն նահանգի առողջապահության նախարարությունը։
Նոյեմբերի 15-ին Վաշինգտոն նահանգի առողջապահության դեպարտամենտը հայտնել էր, որ Վաշինգտոնի բնակիչը վարակվել է H5N5 թռչնի գրիպի վիրուսով: Դեպարտամենտի տվյալներով, սա Միացյալ Նահանգներում մարդու մոտ այս տեսակի հիվանդության առաջին գրանցված դեպքն է: Հաղորդվում է, որ հոսպիտալացված տղամարդը պահել է ընտանի թռչուններ, որոնք շփվել են վայրի թռչունների հետ, որոնք էլ, հավանաբար, վարակի աղբյուրն են եղել։
Ռիա նովոստիի հաղորդմամբ, վարակված անձը տարեց տղամարդ էր, որն ուներ ուղեկցող առողջական խնդիրներ։
Նախարարությունն իր հայտարարության մեջ ընդգծել է, որ մարդկանց մոտ թռչնի գրիպով վարակվելու ռիսկը մնում է ցածր։ Առողջապահության մարմինները կշարունակեն վերահսկել բոլոր նրանց, ովքեր շփվել են վարակված անձի հետ՝ մարդուց մարդուն վարակի փոխանցումը կանխելու համար։
