Տաշքենդում կայացած ավանդական կարատեի Ասիայի առաջնությունում Հայաստանի հավաքականից չեմպիոնի տիտղոսը նվաճեցին Եվրոպայի ու աշխարհի կրկնակի չեմպիոն Նարեկ Իսկանդարյանը (կատա, կումիտե) Եվրոպայի չեմպիոններ Էրիկ Հովսեփյանն (կատա) ու Հովհաննես Հակոբյանը (կատա)։ Ելենա Ֆռոլովա-Տռուֆանյանը անհատական կատա մրցաձևում գրավեց 3-րդ տեղը։
16-17 տարեկանների խմբում Վահե Հովհաննիսյանը կումիտե մրցաձևում զբաղեցրեց 2-րդ տեղը, Մինչև 14 տարեկանների պայքարում Մարկ Սուքիասյանը կատա մրցաձևում գրավեց առաջին տեղը, իսկ կումիտե մրցաձևում զբաղեցրեց երրորդ տեղը։
Աղջիկների պայքարում Մարիա Կասյանն առաջին տեղը գրավեց անհատական կատայում, իսկ կումիտե մրցացևում գրավեց 2-րդ տեղը։ Հայաստանի հավաքականի կազմում էր նաև միջազգային մրցավար Ռաֆայել Հովեյանը։ Հայաստանի հավաքականը մրցավայր էր մեկնել ֆեդերացիայի նախագահ Սուրեն Մաթևոսյանի գլխավորությամբ։
