ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղար Մարկո Ռուբիոն կիրակի հայտարարել է, որ ակնկալում է, որ ուկրաինացի պաշտոնյաների հետ բանակցությունները կհանգեցնեն «ավելի մեծ առաջընթացի» Ուկրաինայում պատերազմի դադարեցման համաձայնագրի ձեռքբերման հարցում, հաղորդում է Reuters-ը։

«Խոսքը միայն խաղաղության համաձայնագրի մասին չէ։ Խոսքը առաջընթացի այնպիսի ուղու ստեղծման մասին է, որը Ուկրաինան կդարձնի ինքնիշխան, անկախ և բարգավաճող, և այդ պատճառով մենք ակնկալում ենք, որ այսօր ավելի մեծ առաջընթաց կգրանցենք»,- ասել է Ռուբիոն Ֆլորիդա նահանգի Հալանդեյլ Բիչում, որտեղ ընթանում էին բանակցությունները։

Ուկրաինայի պատվիրակությունը գլխավորել է նոր գլխավոր բանակցող, Ազգային անվտանգության և պաշտպանության խորհրդի քարտուղար Ռուստեմ Ումերովը՝ թիմի նախորդ ղեկավար, Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Զելենսկու աշխատակազմի ղեկավար Անդրեյ Երմակի՝ ուրբաթ օրը ներկայացրած հրաժարականից հետո, որը տեղի է ունեցել երկրում կոռուպցիոն սկանդալի ֆոնին։

Հանդիպման սկզբում Ումերովը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել Միացյալ Նահանգներին և պաշտոնյաներին։ «ԱՄՆ-ն լսում է մեզ, ԱՄՆ-ն աջակցում է մեզ, ԱՄՆ-ն քայլում է մեր կողքին»,- անգլերեն ասել է Ումերովը։

Հանդիպմանը ներկա են եղել նաև ամերիկյան կողմը ներկայացնող հատուկ բանագնաց Սթիվ Ուիթքոֆը և ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի փեսա Ջարեդ Քուշները։ Բանակցություններն անցկացվել են Մայամիից ոչ հեռու գտնվող «Շել Բեյ» (Shell Bay) մասնավոր ակումբում, որը կառուցել է Ուիթքոֆի անշարժ գույքի ընկերությունը։

Զելենսկին հայտարարել է, որ ակնկալում է, որ Ժնևում կայացած նախորդ հանդիպումների արդյունքները կհամաձայնեցվեն կիրակի։

Ժնևում Ուկրաինան ներկայացրել էր հակառաջարկ այն առաջարկներին, որոնք մոտ երկու շաբաթ առաջ Կիևում ներկայացրել էր ԱՄՆ պաշտպանության նախարար Դեն Դրիսկոլը։

«Ինչպես կասեր օդերևութաբանը, կանխատեսելը դժվար է, քանի որ մթնոլորտը քաոսային համակարգ է, որտեղ փոքր փոփոխությունները կարող են հանգեցնել մեծ արդյունքների»,- կիրակի X սոցցանցում Մայամիից գրել է ԱԳ նախարարի առաջին տեղակալ Սերգեյ Կիսլիցան, որը նույնպես պատվիրակության կազմում է։
