ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը մի քանի ամերիկյան լրատվամիջոցների մեղադրել է զրպարտության մեջ՝ իր վատթարացող առողջական վիճակի մասին պատմություններ հրապարակելու համար և սպառնացել է պատժամիջոցներ կիրառել դրանց դեմ։ Նա այս մասին գրել է  Truth Social- ում ։

Ամերիկացի առաջնորդը հայտարարել է, որ հաջողությամբ կատարում է պետության ղեկավարի իր պարտականությունները և հաճախակի բժշկական զննումներ է անցնում։

Թրամփն ասել է, որ չնայած իր ներդրած ողջ ժամանակին և ջանքերին, The New York Times-ը և մի շարք այլ հրատարակություններ «ձևացնում» են, թե քաղաքական գործիչը «դանդաղում է», այլևս այնքան սրամիտ չէ, որքան նախկինում էր, կամ որ նրա առողջությունը վատթարացել է։

«Չնայած նրանք գիտեն, որ դա ճիշտ չէ, որ ես շատ ջանասիրաբար եմ աշխատում, գուցե ավելի ջանասիրաբար, քան երբևէ», - ընդգծեց նախագահը։

Թրամփը հավելեց, որ կիմանա, թե երբ կսկսի «դանդաղեցնել տեմպը», սակայն դա հիմա տեղի չի ունենում։ Նախագահը լրատվամիջոցների հաղորդագրությունները իր ենթադրյալ վատառողջության մասին անվանեց ակնհայտորեն կեղծ, զրպարտչական և վարկաբեկող, որոնք ուղղված են «ապստամբություն և, հնարավոր է, նույնիսկ դավաճանություն հրահրելուն»։

«Նրանք ժողովրդի իրական թշնամիներն են, և մենք պետք է ինչ-որ բան անենք դրա հետ կապված», - շարունակեց Թրամփը։

Նոյեմբերի վերջին «Նյու Յորք Թայմս»-ը հրապարակեց մի հոդված, որում, ի թիվս այլ բաների, պնդվում էր, որ 79-ամյա Թրամփի համար ավելի ու ավելի դժվար է դառնում պահպանել էներգետիկ և ակտիվ քաղաքական գործչի կերպարը։ Լրագրողները գրել են, որ հանրապետականը, իբր, մի քանի անգամ քնել է Սպիտակ տան միջոցառումների ժամանակ և նաև սկսել է երբեմն բաց թողնել ելույթները։
