«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

Հայկական իրականությունը վերածվում է վտանգավոր ճգնաժամի, երբ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի իշխանությունը բացահայտ ուժեղացնում է ճնշումները Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցու նկատմամբ՝ ձերբակալելով հոգևորականների, վարչական միջոցներով հնազանդեցնելով եկեղեցական դաշտը և փորձելով Եկեղեցին դարձնել կուսակցական գործիք։ Սրան արդեն արձագանքում է նաև եվրոպական և միջազգային ծանրակշիռ քաղաքական ու ակադեմիական էլիտան, որը նախազգուշացնում է՝ Հայաստանում տեղի ունեցողը ոչ միայն ներքին ճգնաժամ է, այլև համաեվրոպական արժեքների խախտում։

Եվրոպայի բարձրաստիճան գործիչները Եվրոպայի Հայկական միությունների ֆորումի նախագահության ջանքերով միավորվել են հատուկ նախաձեռնության շրջանակում։ Նրանց թվում են Կենտերբերիի նախկին արքեպիսկոպոս Լորդ Քերի Քլիֆթոնը, Սլովակիայի նախկին վարչապետ Յան Չարնոգուրսկին, Լորդ Մարքիզ Ռեադինգը, Ռուսաստանի Պետդումայի ճանաչված պատգամավոր Կոնստանտին Զատուլինը, Միջազգային քրեական դատարանի առաջին գլխավոր դատախազ Լուիս Մորենո Օկամպոն, Պրետորիայի համալսարանի պրոֆեսոր և եպիսկոպոս Պատրիկ Սուխդեոն, ԵՄ նախկին հանձնակատար Յան Ֆիգել ը, «The Guardian»-ի հայտնի նախկին թղթակից Ջոնաթան Սթիլը, Միջազգային քրիստոնեական համերաշխության կազմակերպության ղեկավար Ջոն Էյբները, ԵՄ պատգամավոր Լյուբոշ Բլահան, Սլովակիայի խորհրդարանի նախկին խոսնակ Ֆրանտիշեկ Միկլոշկոն, Բեռլինի օրենսդիր մարմնի պատգամավոր Վոլֆգանգ Հումելը, Շիլլերի ինստիտուտի ղեկավար Հելգա Զեպպ-Լարոուշը, Պրահայի դիվանագիտական ակադեմիայի նախագահ Ցիրիլ Սվոբոդան, տնտեսագետ Յան Քեմփբելը, հայտնի միջազգային իրավաբան Ռոբերտ Ամստերդամը, Ֆրանսիայի նախկին վարչապետ Ֆրանսուա Ֆիյոնը, Իտալիայի նախկին վարչապետ և ԵՄ նախկին ղեկավար Ռոմանո Պրոդին, ինչպես նաև անվտանգության եվրոպական ինստիտուտի գլխավոր քարտուղար, բրիգադային գեներալ Գուստավ Գուստենաուն։

Այս հեղինակավոր շրջանակը հայտարարում է՝ Հայաստանում համակարգային գրոհ է սկսված Կաթողիկոսի և ամբողջ Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցու դեմ։ Նրանց գնահատմամբ՝ հոգևորականների ձերբակալությունները, Մայր Աթոռի շուրջ ստեղծվող ճնշումները և իշխանության կողմից եկեղեցական դաշտի արհեստական պառակտումը ոչ միայն հակասում են ժողովրդավարական արժեքներին, այլև վտանգում են Հայաստանի անվտանգությունը։

Նրանք մատնանշում են, որ վերջին ութ ամսում Եկեղեցու հետ կապված բացակայում է իշխանության կառուցողական քաղաքականությունը. կա միայն մեկ նպատակ՝ թուլացնել, գլխատել և վերահսկելի դարձնել ազգային-հոգևոր ինստիտուտը։ Եվ սա այն պահին, երբ տարածաշրջանում ձևավորվում են նոր, սպառնալիքով լի աշխարհաքաղաքական գործընթացներ։

 Նախաձեռնող խումբը խոստանում է հարցը բարձրացնել եվրոպական օրակարգի ամենաբարձր մակարդակներում՝ պահանջելով դադարեցնել ճնշումները, ազատ արձակել անօրինական կալանավորված հոգևորականներին և վերականգնել Հայաստանի իշխանությունների պարտավորությունները՝ օրենքի գերակայության և մարդու հիմնարար ազատությունների առումով։
