Հայաստանի և Ամերիկայի Միացյալ Նահանգների միջև Վաշինգտոնում ստորագրված հուշագիրը, որը ներկայացվում է որպես խաղաղության և համագործակցության նոր էջ, իրականում դարձել է Հայաստանի համար միակողմանի զիջումների գործիք: Այն, ինչ հայկական կողմը անվանում է Թրամփի ճանապարհ, ադրբեջանական կողմը բացահայտ կոչում է Զանգեզուրի միջանցք: Այս բառախաղը ոչ թե պատահական է, այլ ցույց է տալիս, թե ով է իսկապես շահում և ով՝ կորցնում:

Միջանցքի բացումը, որը պարտադրվում է առանց Հայաստանի ինքնիշխանության նկատմամբ երաշխիքների, նշանակում է տարածքային վերահսկողության կորուստ և անվտանգության անդառնալի ճեղքում: Հայաստանը վճարում է այն գնով, որն Ադրբեջանը պահանջում էր դեռ 2020-ից հետո՝ միայն թե այս անգամ դա ներկայացվում է որպես «խաղաղության ճանապարհ» և ամերիկյան միջնորդությամբ:

Ներքին ճնշումները խորանում են: Ընդդիմադիրների, եկեղեցականների, գործարարների ու համայնքապետերի ձերբակալությունները դարձել են համակարգված: Արևմուտքը, որի հետ կնքվել է հուշագիրը, այլևս չի կարողանում անտեսել ժողովրդավարության և մարդու իրավունքների խախտումները: Բայց հենց այդ նույն Արևմուտքի հետ ստորագրված թուղթն է օգտագործվում իշխանության կողմից՝ որպես ծածկույթ ներքին ընդդիմությանը լռեցնելու և արտաքին զիջումները հիմնավորելու համար:

Զինված ուժերի թուլացումը՝ պարտադիր ծառայության կրճատման առաջարկով, տեղի է ունենում այն ժամանակ, երբ Ադրբեջանը շարունակում է ռազմական բյուջեն մեծացնել և նոր զենք գնել:

Սահմանադրական փոփոխությունների մասին հայտարարությունները, որոնք ներկայացվում են որպես «արդիականացում», իրականում ուղղված են տարածքային պահանջներից հրաժարվելու պարտավորությանը՝ Ադրբեջանի ուղղակի պահանջով:

Այս ամենը միասին վկայում է մեկ բանի մասին՝ Վաշինգտոնում ստորագրված հուշագիրը խաղաղության համաձայնագիր չէ, այլ կապիտուլյացիայի նոր, ավելի նրբաճաշակ ձևակերպում: Թրամփի ճանապարհ անվանելով՝ փորձում են թաքցնել, որ սա ոչ թե խաղաղության, այլ հանձնման ճանապարհ է: Եվ հաշիվը վճարում է միայն Հայաստանը:
