«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

Եվրոպական միության և Հայաստանի միջև հարաբերությունները վերջին շրջանում մտնում են նոր, ավելի բարդ փուլ: ԵՄ արտաքին գործերի և անվտանգության քաղաքականության բարձր ներկայացուցիչ Կայա Կալլասը բաց տեքստով հայտարարել է, որ ԵՄ-ի հետ մերձեցման պարտադիր պայմաններից մեկը հակառուսական պատժամիջոցներին միանալն է: Այս ուղերձը հնչել է ԵՄ-Հայաստան գործընկերության խորհրդի նիստից հետո, երբ ընդունվել է հարաբերությունների նոր ռազմավարական օրակարգ:

Կալլասը խոստացել է 15 միլիոն եվրո աջակցություն՝ ուղղված ականազերծմանը, տարածաշրջանային վստահությանը և օտարերկրյա միջամտության դեմ պայքարին: Միաժամանակ նա նշել է Հայաստանի արտաքին քաղաքականության համապատասխանության ցածր մակարդակը ԵՄ դիրքորոշումներին՝ 37 տոկոս, և ընդգծել Ռուսաստանի ապատեղեկատվության արշավները:

Սակայն այս առաջարկների հետևում շատերը տեսնում են ակնհայտ պայմանականություն: Վերջին տարիներին Հայաստանի տնտեսական աննախադեպ աճը մեծ մասամբ պայմանավորված է Եվրասիական տնտեսական միության շրջանակներում Ռուսաստանի հետ կապերով՝ արտահանման ծավալներով, ներդրումներով և գործարար ակտիվությամբ: Պատժամիջոցներին միանալը կարող է հանգեցնել արտահանման անկման, ներդրումների սառեցման և բիզնեսի անորոշության՝ անմիջականորեն ազդելով սովորական քաղաքացիների վրա:

Քաղաքագետ Սուրեն Սուրենյանցը նշում է, որ Բրյուսելի բյուրոկրատիան առաջնորդվում է հակառուսական մոտիվներով և կոշտ ընտրություն է դնում գործընկերների առջև: «Նրանք շատ կոշտ դնում են՝ կա՛մ Ռուսաստանի դեմ ես ու մեզ հետ ես, կա՛մ էլ մեզ հետ չես: Ես հույս ունեմ, որ ՀՀ իշխանությունը ԵՄ անդամակցության դիմում ներկայացնելու արկածախնդրությանը չի գնա»,- ասում է նա:

«Մայր Հայաստան» կուսակցության ղեկավար Անդրանիկ Թևանյանը համարում է, որ ԵՄ-ն ձգտում է Ռուսաստանին բարեկամ երկրները դարձնել գործիք իր գլոբալ պայքարում: Նրա կարծիքով, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը հայտնվել է դժվար կացության մեջ՝ փորձելով պահպանել իշխանությունը արտաքին ճնշումների և տնտեսական շահերի միջև:

Այսպիսով, Հայաստանը կանգնած է վճռորոշ ընտրության առջև: Մերձեցումը Եվրոպային կարող է բացել նոր հեռանկարներ, սակայն դրա գինը կարող է լինել տնտեսական ինքնիշխանության կորուստը: Իշխանությունները պետք է կշռադատեն բոլոր ռիսկերը՝ առաջնորդվելով բացառապես ազգային շահերով:
