Սկսած ԱՄՆ-ի նոր Ազգային անվտանգության ռազմավարությունից, որը Եվրամիության նախկին բարձրաստիճան դիվանագետ Ժոզեպ Բորելը բնութագրեց որպես «քաղաքական պատերազմի հայտարարություն», մինչև նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի արհամարհական արտահայտությունները, որոնք հնչեցին Politico-ին տված բացառիկ հարցազրույցում,կարելի է ասել, որ սա, անկասկած, եվրոպացի դեսպանների համար ամենաուրախ շրջանը չէր, գրում է հոդվածագիր Ջեյմի Դետմերը։

Եվրոպական երկրների դեսպանատներում այս շաբաթ անցկացված մի քանի Սուրբ Ծննդյան երեկույթներից հետո պարզ դարձավ, որ այնտեղ տրամադրությունը բավականին մռայլ է, ընդգծում է հոդվածի հեղինակը։

«Ինչո՞ւ մեկնաբանել այն տեղեկությունը, որ Թրամփը խառնաշփոթ է առաջացրել տրանսատլանտյան հարաբերություններում։ Ինչո՞ւ ստեղծել լրացուցիչ խնդիրներ։ Զսպվածությունը հասկանալի է, հաշվի առնելով, որ Թրամփի վարչակազմը պատժում է այն դիվանագետներին, որոնք խոսում են առանց հերթի», — գրում է Դետմերը։

Մամուլի տեղեկություններով, անցած ամիս Բելգիայի ռազմական ատաշեն՝ բրիգադային գեներալը, ստիպված էր հրաժարական տալ, երբ Պենտագոնի ղեկավար Փիթ Հեգսեթը վիրավորվեց նրա հայտարարություններից, որոնցում Թրամփի վարչակազմը նկարագրվում էր  «խառնաշփոթային և անկանխատեսելի»։

«Այն, ինչ զգում են եվրոպացի դեսպանները Ամերիկայում, հոգեբանը կարող է բնութագրել որպես հոգեսոցիալական ապակողմնորոշում՝ սեփական ինքնության կամ ապագայի վերաբերյալ շփոթվածության վիճակ, որը պայմանավորված է վարչակազմի վճռական խզմամբ այն կարգից, որը հաստատվել էր 1945 թվականից հետո, որը ձևավորել էր Հարի Թրումենը և պահպանվում էր ԱՄՆ-ի յուրաքանչյուր հաջորդ նախագահի կողմից՝ մինչև Դոնալդ Թրամփը։
