Գերմանացիների ավելի քան կեսը (60 տոկոսը) աջակցում են սոցիալական ցանցերի օգտագործման արգելքին մինչև 16 տարեկան երեխաների համար։ Այս մասին վկայում են Insa ինստիտուտի հարցման արդյունքները, որը անցկացվել է Bild am Sonntag թերթի համար։

Գերմանիայում հարցվածների 24 տոկոսը դեմ են արտահայտվել նման արգելքին։ Եվս տասը տոկոսը նշել են, որ իրենց համար միևնույն է, իսկ վեց տոկոսը չեն պատասխանել կամ չեն որոշել իրենց դիրքորոշումը։

Նոյեմբերին Եվրոպական խորհրդարանը համաձայնեցրել էր բանաձև, որը կոչ էր անում սահմանել սոցիալական ցանցերին հասանելիության նվազագույն տարիքային շեմը՝ 16 տարեկանը։ Նման քայլի նպատակը «տարիքին համապատասխան առցանց փոխգործակցության ապահովումն» է։

Այդ ընթացքում Ավստրալիան դարձավ աշխարհում առաջին երկիրը, որն արգելեց սոցիալական ցանցերի օգտագործումը մինչև 16 տարեկան երեխաների համար․ համապատասխան օրենքը ուժի մեջ է մտել դեկտեմբերի 10-ին։

Նոր կանոնները կվերաբերեն մեծամասնություն ունեցող հարթակներին, ներառյալ TikTok-ը, YouTube-ը, Instagram-ը, Snapchat-ը, Facebook-ը, Reddit-ը և X-ը։ Սակայն դրանք չեն տարածվում WhatsApp մեսենջերի, փոստային ծրագրերի և առցանց խաղերի վրա։

Արգելքը, որը բողոքարկվել է Գերագույն դատարանում, ուղղված է երեխաներին պաշտպանելուն՝ ինտերնետում ծաղրուծանակից, ապատեղեկատվությունից և անօրինական բովանդակությունից։
