Հորդանանը շաբաթ օրը հաստատել է, որ իր ռազմաօդային ուժերը մասնակցել են այն հարվածներին, որոնք Միացյալ Նահանգները հասցրել է Սիրիայում «Իսլամական պետություն» խմբավորման օբյեկտներին՝ վրեժ լուծելու համար այս ամիս ԱՄՆ երեք քաղաքացիների սպանության համար, տեղեկացրել է Associated Press-ը։
Ուրբաթ ԱՄՆ-ը ռազմական հարվածներ է հասցրել մի քանի օբյեկտների Սիրիայում, որպեսզի ոչնչացնի «Իսլամական պետություն» խմբավորման զինյալներին եւ նրանց զենքը՝ որպես վրեժ սիրիացի զինյալի հարձակման, որի հետեւանքով մոտ մեկ շաբաթ առաջ զոհվել են ամերիկացի երկու զինծառայող եւ մեկ քաղաքացիական անձ՝ թարգմանիչը։
Հորդանանի ԶՈւ-ն հայտնել է, որ իրենց ռազմաօդային ուժերը «մասնակցել են ավիահարվածներին... Սիրիայի հարավում գտնվող ԻՊ մի քանի դիրքերին»։
Հորդանանը 90 երկրներից մեկն է, որը մտնում է ԻՊ-ի դեմ գլոբալ կոալիցիայի մեջ, որին վերջերս միացել է Սիրիան։
Ամերիկացի զինվորականները չեն տեղեկացրել, թե քանի մարդ է սպանվել ուրբաթօրյա հարվածներից։ Մարդու իրավունքների սիրիական կենտրոնը, որը գտնվում է Մեծ Բրիտանիայում, տեղեկացրել է, որ առնվազն հինգ մարդ սպանվել է, ներառյալ ԻՊ օղակի առաջնորդն ու անդամները։
Հորդանանի հայտարարությունում նշվել է, որ գործողությունն ուղղված է այն բանին, որ «խանգարի ծայրահեղական խմբավորումներին օգտագործել այդ շրջանները որպես հենակետեր Սիրիայի հարեւանների եւ ողջ տարածաշրջանի անվտանգությանը սպառնալով, հատկապես այն բանից հետո, երբ ԻՊ-ը վերախմբավորվեց եւ վերականգնեց իր հնարավորությունները Սիրիայի հարավում»։
ԱՄՆ կենտրոնական հրամանատարությունը, որը վերահսկում է տարածաշրջանը, հայտնել է, որ իր ուժերը «հարվածներ են հասցրել ավելի քան 70 թիրախների կենտրոնական Սիրիայի տարբեր մասերում՝ կործանիչների, հարածային ուղղաթիռների եւ հրետանու օգնությամբ», Հորդանանի ՌՕՈւ կործանիչների աջակցությամբ։
