Թրամփի վարչակազմը մշակել է «Արևածագ» նախագիծը, որով նախատեսվում է Գազայի հատվածը վերափոխել բարձր տեխնոլոգիական ափամերձ մետրոպոլիսի և ֆուտուրիստական ​​հանգստավայրի, հաղորդում է The Wall Street Journal-ը։

Աղբյուրները WSJ-ին հայտնել են, որ ԱՄՆ-ն ծրագիրը ներկայացրել է պոտենցիալ հովանավորներին, այդ թվում՝ Պարսից ծոցի երկրների, Թուրքիայի և Եգիպտոսի ներկայացուցիչներին։

ԱՄՆ որոշ պաշտոնյաներ կասկածանքով են վերաբերվել ծրագրին։ Նրանք նշել են, որ դրա իրականացումը հնարավոր կլինի միայն այն դեպքում, եթե ՀԱՄԱՍ–ը համաձայնի զինաթափվել։ Տարածաշրջանում զարգացման այլ խոչընդոտներ նույնպես կան.
