Քնի պակասը կարող է ստիպել մարդուն շատակերությամբ զբաղվել: Բացի այդ՝ քնի պակաս արդյունքում մարդիկ կամքի ուժի պակաս են զգում, ինչը կարող է մի շարք կախվածություններ առաջ բերել: Այս մասին են հայտնում Clemson University գիտնականները:
Գիտնականների խոսքով՝ անկախ այն հանգամանքից, կապված է դա աշխատանքային գերծանրաբեռնվածության թե ֆիլմեր դիտելու հետ, միլիոնավոր մադիկ քնի պակաս ունեն, և դա բացասաբար է անդրադառնում նրանց առողջության վրա: Արդեն իսկ ապացուցված է, որ քնի պակասը առաջացնում է ուշադրության պակաս, արագացված ծերացում, բորբոքային գործընթացներ, քրոնիկ հիվանդություններ, ինչպես նաև դեպրեսիա:
Այժմ վերոնշյալ համալսարանի գիտնականները պարզել են, որ քնի պակաս ունեցող մարդիկ ավելի հաճախ են տառապում տարբեր անառողջ կախվածություններից, քանի որ քնի պակասը զրկում է նրանց ինքնատիրապետումից: Դա վերաբերվում է ինչպես շատակերությանը, այնպես էլ այլ կախվածություններին՝ խաղամոլությունից մինչև թմրամոլություն:
Գիտնականներն առաջին անգամ ապացուցեցին, որ քունն ու ինքնատիրապետումը կապված են միմյանց հետ: Հայտնի է նաև, որ քնի տևողությունը կապված է մարդու կամքի ուժի ամրապնդման հետ: Հայտնի է նաև, որ քունը դրական է անդրադառնում էներգիայի մակարդակի վրա՝ թույլ տալով պահպանել այն ամբողջ օրվա ընթացքում, իսկ ինչքան բարձր է այդ մակարդակը, այդքան ավելի շատ է մարդն ընդդիմանում տարբեր վնասակար սովորություններին:
Զարգացած ինքնատիրապետման դեպքում մարդիկ հեշտ ճանապարհներ են փնտրում և մեկանգամյա հաճույքներ: Ահա թե ինչու է կարևոր օրական առնվազն 7-8 ժամ քնելը: Եվ ոչ մի ֆիլմ կամ աշխատանք չեն կարող արդարացնել քնի նկատմամբ արհամարական վերաբերմունքը:
