Դաջվածքի թանաքը կարող է մնալ ոչ միայն մաշկի մեջ. պիգմենտի մի մասն անցնում է լիմֆատիկ անոթներով և կուտակվում մոտակա ավշային հանգույցներում: Սա ցույց է տրվել մկների վրա կատարված ուսումնասիրությամբ. հանգույցներում գունանյութերը կլանվում են իմունային բջիջների (հիմնականում մակրոֆագերի) կողմից, այդ բջիջներից մի քանիսը մահանում են, և բորբոքային ռեակցիան շարունակվում է մինչև երկու ամիս։
