Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Զելենսկին ժամանել է ԱՄՆ՝ Ֆլորիդա, որտեղ նախատեսված է նրա փակ ձևաչափով հանդիպումը ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի հետ։ Ուկրաինական կողմը պնդում է, որ խաղաղ կարգավորման ծրագիրը գրեթե պատրաստ է, սակայն Վաշինգտոնի հետ շարունակվում են վերջին համաձայնեցումները։ Կիևում դա դիտարկվում է ոչ թե պարզապես համաձայնեցում, այլ քաղաքական ծանր բանակցություն՝ փորձելով ծրագրում փոփոխություններ մտցնել եվրոպական աջակցությամբ։
Վերլուծաբանների գնահատմամբ՝ այդ փոփոխությունները ծրագիրը կարող են դարձնել անընդունելի Ռուսաստանի համար, ինչի պատճառով բուն բանակցային գործընթացը կարող է փակուղի մտնել։ Հատկապես սուր է մնում Դոնբասից ուկրաինական զորքերի դուրսբերման հարցը, որը համարվում է առանցքային կետ։ Ըստ հրապարակումների՝ հենց այս թեմայով Թրամփը ցանկանում է Զելենսկուց ստանալ հստակ և վերջնական պատասխան։
Նշվում է, որ եթե Զելենսկին չհամաձայնի ամերիկյան առաջարկներին, նա կարող է բախվել Վաշինգտոնի կոշտ արձագանքին՝ մինչև միջնորդական գործընթացից ԱՄՆ-ի հեռացում կամ ռազմական աջակցության վերանայում։ Այդ սցենարը, փորձագետների կարծիքով, լուրջ հարված կհասցնի Զելենսկու քաղաքական դիրքերին և կարող է ակտիվացնել Ուկրաինայի ներսում իշխանափոխության շուրջ քննարկումները։
