Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածինն արձագանքել է երեկ երեկոյան վարչապետի և տասը եպիսկոպոսների ստորագրած հայտարարությանը։
Հայտարարությունում ասվում է.
«ա․ Եկեղեցու ներքին կյանքի կանոնակարգման և բարենորոգման պատրվակով Հայաստանի կառավարության ղեկավարի ձեռնարկած գործողությունները ուղղակի ոտնահարում են ՀՀ Սահմանադրությունը, խախտում թե՛ միջազգայնորեն, թե՛ Հայաստանի օրենսդրությամբ ամրագրված Եկեղեցու իրավունքները։
բ․ Նման հակաեկեղեցական գործընթացների մեջ եպիսկոպոսների ներգրավումը, քահանայից դասի նկատմամբ կիրառվող ճնշումները դատապարտելի են։ Եկեղեցու կյանքին առնչվող խնդիրների քննարկումները կատարվում են բացառապես եկեղեցական համապատասխան մարմիններում, կանոնական կարգավորումների համաձայն։ Տարակուսելի է, որ հիշյալ տաս եպիսկոպոսներն առ այսօր որևէ կերպ չեն արձագանքել Մայր Աթոռից իրենց ուղղված կոչերին ու հրավերներին, շարունակում են խուսափել իրեց հուզող հարցերի շուրջ Ամենայն Հայոց Հայրապետի և Գերագույն հոգևոր խորհրդի հետ հանդիպումներից ու քննարկումներից։
գ. Հարկ է ընդգծել, որ Եկեղեցու կանոնակարգային հարցերը և բարենորոգումը վերպահված չեն ինքնահռչակ խորհրդի, այլ՝ Հայաստանյայց Առաքելական Սուրբ Եկեղեցու Նվիրապետությանը՝ իր բարձրագույն կառույցներով։
