Հունվարի 15-ին ողբերգական դեպք է տեղի ունեցել Սյունիքի մարզում։ Ժամը 23:30-ի սահմաններում ՀՀ Ներքին գործերի նախարարության ոստիկանության համայնքային ոստիկանության գլխավոր վարչության Գորիսի բաժնում օպերատիվ տեղեկություններ են ստացվել, որ 2 երեխա մարմնական վնասվածքներով տեղափոխվել են «Գորիս» բժշկական կենտրոն։

Ինչպես հայտնում է ֆոտոլրագրող Գագիկ Շամշյանը, հիվանդանոց է մեկնել ոստիկանության Գորիսի բաժնի հերթապահ խումբը՝ բաժնի պետ Կարեն Հովսեփյանի և ՀՀ ՆԳՆ ոստիկանության պարեկային ծառայության Սյունիքի մարզի գումարտակի պարեկները՝ գումարտակի հրամանատար Սևոյանի և գումարտակի ծառայության ավագ տեսուչ Նարեկ Մանուչարյանի գլխավորությամբ։

Տեղում բժիշկները ոստիկաններին և պարեկներին հայտնել են, որ վիրավորներն ի վիճակի չեն կատարվածի մասին տեղեկատվություն տալու, քանի որ գտնվում են վերակենդանացման բաժանմունքում։Ոստիկաններն ու պարեկները պարզել են, որ վիրավորները Սյունիքի մարզի բնակիչներ 17-ամյա Գուրգեն Գ.-ն է, ով հիվանդանոց է տեղափոխվել «ներքին արյունահոսություն, պոլիտրավմա, փակ գանգուղեղային տրավմա» ախտորոշմամբ, և 17-ամյա Արմեն Յ.-ն, ով հիվանդանոց է տեղափոխվել «պոլիտրավմա, կոնքոսկրի կոտրվածք» ախտորոշմամբ։Երեխաները հիվանդանոց են տեղափոխվել Գորիսի բժշկական կենտրոնի շտապօգնության ավտոմեքենաներով։

Ոստիկաններն ու պարեկները պարզել են, որ նույն օրը՝ ժամը 22:15-ի սահմաններում Գուրգեն Գ.-ն և Արմեն Յ.-ն Գորիս քաղաքի Խորենացու փողոցում սահնակով պահելիս նշված խաչմերուկում բախվել են ճանապարհի եզրին տեղադրված քարե արգելապատնեշին, ինչի հետևանքով էլ ստացել են մարմնական վնասվածքները։Գ. Շամշյանի տեղեկություններով՝ հաջորդ օրը՝ հունվարի 16-ին, գիշերը ժամը 00:20-ի սահմաններում Գուրգեն Գ.-ն վերակենդանացման բաժանմունքում գիտակցության չգալով մահացել է, իսկ Արմեն Յ.-ի առողջական վիճակը այս պահին գնահատվում էր ծանր։Դեպքի մասին ոստիկանության Գորիսի բաժնից տեղեկությունը փոխանցել են ՀՀ քննչական կոմիտեի Սյունիքի մարզային քննչական վարչության Գորիսի քննչական բաժին, որտեղից ժամանել է քննչական խումբը։Դեպքի փաստով քննչական բաժնում նախաձեռնվել է քրեական վարույթ։

Գ. Շամշյանի տեղեկություններով՝ մահացածը սովորում էր Գորիս քաղաքի Ակսել Բակունցի անվան թիվ 1 միջնակարգ դպրոցում։
