Армянский храм XV века в Феодосии под угрозой разрушения

Армянский храм XV века в Феодосии оказался под угрозой разрушения и требует срочного вмешательства. В социальных сетях распространяется тревожное сообщение о его аварийном состоянии: 12 января 2026 года зафиксировано частичное обрушение колокольни церкви Гавриила и Михаила, являющейся объектом культурного наследия федерального значения.

Автор публикации предупреждает, что Крым может лишиться уникального памятника истории. Именно здесь в 1848 году состоялось венчание по армянскому обряду художника Ивана Айвазовского и Юлии Гревс, дочери петербургского врача.

Храм передан в пользование религиозной организации «Церковь Сурб Саркис» Феодосии, входящей в Российскую и Ново-Нахичеванскую епархию Армянской Апостольской Церкви. За века существования церковь пережила немало испытаний: землетрясение 1927 года разрушило западный притвор, а в 1962 году обрушилась часть фасада. Позднее была проведена реконструкция, восстановлен притвор, заменены оконные и дверные переплеты, обновлена крыша и заделаны трещины. С тех пор масштабных реставрационных работ не проводилось.

«По числу памятников армянской средневековой архитектуры Крым занимает четвёртое место в мире – после Карабаха, Западной Армении (ныне территория Турции) и самой Армении», — отметил руководитель исторического клуба «Армяне Крыма» Тимур Ян.

Он напомнил, что в средневековой Кафе (ныне Феодосия) проживали десятки тысяч армян, создавших архитектурное наследие региона, тогда как сегодня в Крыму осталось не более 20 тысяч армян, многие из которых мало знакомы с богатой историей своих предков.
