Հարավային Կովկասում՝ Իրանի և Ռուսաստանի մեջտեղում գտնվող էներգառեսուրսներով հարուստ Ադրբեջանը իրեն զգում է «երկու համաշխարհային պատերազմների» միջև։
Այս մասին The National-ին տված հարցազրույցում հայտարարել է Ադրբեջանի նախագահի օգնական և նախագահի աշխատակազմի արտաքին քաղաքականության բաժնի ղեկավար Հիքմեթ Հաջիևը։
Նա անդրադարձել է ռուս-ուկրաինական և իսրայելա-իրանական հակամարտություններին, ինչպես նաև Մերձավոր Արևելքում իրավիճակին և ԱՄՆ-ի տարածաշրջանային գործընթացներին մասնակցությանը։
Ըստ Հաջիևի՝ չնայած տարածաշրջանում լարվածության վերաբերյալ Ադրբեջանի մտահոգություններին, Բաքուն բանակցություններ չի վարել Վաշինգտոնի հետ Իրանում ստեղծված իրավիճակի վերաբերյալ։
«Մենք այս հարցը չենք քննարկել Միացյալ Նահանգների հետ, և նրանք երբեք չեն դիմել մեզ այս թեման քննարկելու համար», - նշել է նա։
Ալիևի օգնականը նաև ընդգծել է, որ վերջին օրերին Ադրբեջանի պաշտոնյաները կապի մեջ են եղել իրենց իրանցի գործընկերների հետ։ Միևնույն ժամանակ, նրա խոսքով, Իրանում անվտանգության հետ կապված իրավիճակը չի պահանջում Ադրբեջանի անհապաղ միջամտություն։
«Մենք երբեք չենք միջամտում այլ պետությունների ներքին գործերին», - հավելել է նա։
