ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի հետ իր առաջիկա հանդիպման ժամանակ Իսրայելի վարչապետ Բենիամին Նեթանյահուն մտադիր է անձամբ օգտագործել հետախուզական տվյալները՝ համոզելու համար նրան, որ Իրանը սպառնալիք է ոչ միայն հրեական պետության, այլև ամբողջ Մերձավոր Արևելքի և նույնիսկ Եվրոպայի համար: Դրա մասին հաղորդում է Al-Monitor-ը՝ հղում անելով իսրայելական աղբյուրներին:
«Կարևոր է, որ [ԱՄՆ] նախագահը ամեն ինչ լսի անձամբ նրանից»,- նշել է Իսրայելի վարչապետի խորհրդականներից մեկը:
Ըստ խորհրդականի՝ Նեթանյահուն հույս ունի համոզել Թրամփին Վաշինգտոն-Թեհրան բանակցությունների օրակարգում ներառել Իրանի բալիստիկ հրթիռների ծրագրի, ինչպես նաև Մերձավոր Արևելքի առանձին երկրներում իրանամետ աշխարհազորայինների թեման: «Նեթանյահուն ամեն ինչ կբացատրի [ԱՄՆ] նախագահին, որպեսզի նա հասկանա, որ առանց բալիստիկ հրթիռների հարցը լուծելու Իրանի հետ համաձայնության հասնել հնարավոր չէ»,- հավելել է աղբյուրը:
Al-Monitor,-ի տվյալներով՝ իսրայելցի պաշտոնյաները մտահոգված են նաև ԱՄՆ հատուկ բանագնաց Սթիվեն Ուիթքոֆի ազդեցությամբ Սպիտակ տան որոշումների ընդունման վրա, քանի որ նա հակադարձում է Թրամփի կողմից Իրանին հարվածելու կողմնակիցներին։
Իսրայելի կառավարությունում հստակ ըմբռնում չկա։ Որոշ քաղաքական գործիչներ կարծում են, որ Վաշինգտոնը վերսկսել է բանակցությունները Թեհրանի հետ Թրամփի հաջորդ քայլերի վերաբերյալ ՝ Իրանի իշխանություններին կեղծ անվտանգության զգացում հաղորդելու համար, մինչդեռ մյուսները կարծում են, որ Թրամփը իսկապես պատրաստ է փոխզիջման գնալ։ «Նա ասում է, որ բանակցությունները կվերսկսվեն առաջիկա օրերին և լավատեսորեն է տրամադրված Իրանի հետ համաձայնության հասնելու հնարավորությունների նկատմամբ, ինչը մեզ շատ է անհանգստացնում։ Մյուս կողմից, նա շարունակում է ամրապնդել իր ռազմական ներկայությունը Իրանի շուրջ»,- նշել է աղբյուրը։
Նշվում է նաև, որ Նեթանյահուն վերջին րոպեին իր պատվիրակությունից հեռացրել է Իսրայելի ռազմաօդային ուժերի օդային գործողությունների վարչության ղեկավար Օմեր Թիշլերին՝ Իսրայելի կողմից պատերազմ հրահրելու մեղադրանքների հիմքերը նվազեցնելու համար։
