Տավուշի մարզի Ոսկեպար գյուղի լեռնային բնության մեջ առանձնանում է մի բարձունք, որի մասին շատերն են լսել, բայց քչերն են իսկապես ճանաչում։ Կատարքա սարը տեղացիների համար պարզապես սար չէ․ այն հիշողության, զգուշության ու չասված պատմությունների վայր է։

Առաջին հայացքից Կատարքա սարը թվում է սովորական լեռնաբարձունք՝ քարքարոտ լանջերով ու բաց գագաթով։ Սակայն այնտեղ բարձրացած մարդիկ գրեթե միշտ նույն զգացողությամբ են վերադառնում՝ ասելով, որ այդ սարը «այլ զգացողություններ ունի»։

«Կատարքա» անվան շուրջ հստակ գրավոր բացատրություն չկա։ Տեղացիների մի մասը կարծում է, որ այն կապված է «կատար» բառի հետ՝ գագաթ, եզր, սահման։ Մյուսները վստահ են՝ անվանումը հին տեղանվան աղավաղված ձև է, որը ժամանակի ընթացքում փոխվել է, բայց պահպանել է իր հնչողությունը։

Դիտակետ, որ ամեն ինչ տեսել է

Ժողովրդական պատմությունների համաձայն՝ Կատարքա սարը դարեր շարունակ ծառայել է որպես բնական դիտակետ։ Բարձր դիրքը թույլ է տվել վերահսկել շրջակա տարածքները, նկատել շարժերը, զգուշանալ վտանգից։

Ասում են՝ դժվար ժամանակներում մարդիկ բարձրացել են սարի լանջերով՝ կամ թաքնվելու, կամ սպասելու։ Ոմանք պատմում են, որ սարի վրա երբեմն եղել են քարե փոքր կառույցներ կամ ժամանակավոր ապաստարաններ, որոնց հետքերը այսօր գրեթե չեն պահպանվել։

Կատարքայի շուրջ ամենատարածված պատմություններից մեկը լռության մասին է։ Գյուղում ասում են՝ սարը չի սիրում աղմուկ։
Այնտեղ մարդիկ կամաց են խոսում, հաճախ լռում են, իսկ երկար մնալուց հետո իջնում են մի տեսակ ծանր մտքերով։

Ոմանք դա բացատրում են բնության ազդեցությամբ, մյուսները համոզված են՝ սարը կրում է անցյալի հիշողությունը, և այդ լռությունը պարզապես պատահական չէ։

Սար, որը հարգանք է պահանջում

Տեղացիների շրջանում կա համոզմունք, որ Կատարքա սարը «ընդունում է» միայն հարգանքով մոտեցողներին։ Ով բարձրանում է անուշադրությամբ կամ ծաղրով, շուտ է հեռանում՝ անհանգիստ զգացողությամբ։ Իսկ ով մոտենում է լռությամբ, հաճախ ասում է, որ սարը բացել է իր ամբողջ գեղեցկությունը։

Ոսկեպարի այս սիրված սարը շարունակում է մնալ Տավուշի ամենախորհրդավոր բարձունքներից մեկը։ Այն ոչ միայն բնական լեռ է, այլ նաև լուռ վկա՝ անցած ժամանակների, վտանգների և դիմադրության։
