Հոլանդական «ԱԶ Ալկմարի» 20-ամյա կիսապաշտպան Կես Սմիթը վնասվածքից հետո իր վերադարձը նշեց Կոնֆերենցիաների լիգայի անցումային փլեյ-օֆֆի՝ «Նոայի» դեմ խաղում (0:1): Հանդիպման վերջին վայրկյաններին նա կարող էր փրկել իր թիմին պարտությունից, սակայն մեր թիմի դարպասապահը վերջին պահին փրկեց իրավիճակը:
«Կարծում եմ՝ շատ մոտ էի գոլին,- նշել է Սմիթը հոլանդական լրատվամիջոցների հետ զրույցում:- Դարպասապահն առաջ էր եկել և հազիվ հասցրեց ձեռքով հարվածել գնդակին։ Նա նույնպես ասաց, որ մի փոքր բախտը բերեց. շատ ափսոս»:
Խոսելով խաղի որակի և պարտության մասին՝ երկրորդ խաղակեսում փոխարինման դուրս եկած կիսապաշտպանն ընդգծել է իրենց թիմի բացթողումները.
«Մենք չափազանց դանդաղ տեմպով էինք խաղում և քիչ կրեատիվություն ցուցաբերեցինք: Ամեն ինչ շատ դանդաղ էր ստացվում: Պետք է անկեղծ լինեմ՝ խոտածածկը բարդ էր, բայց դա իրականում արդարացում չէ: Ակնհայտ է, որ այս պահին մեր խաղն այնքան էլ չի ստացվում, խաղում ենք մեծ դժվարությամբ։ Այսօր մենք բավարար լավը չէինք, բայց վստահ եմ, որ ամեն ինչ կշտկվի»:
Նիդերլանդացի ֆուտբոլիստի խոսքով՝ թիմում հասկանում են խնդիրները. «Մենք աշխատում ենք և շատ ենք խոսում այդ մասին, բայց առայժմ գործերը լավ չեն գնում: Ցավալի է, որ այդքան հաճախակի ենք անփութորեն կորցնում գնդակը և ստիպված նահանջում: Դա ֆուտբոլի ամենատհաճ մասն է և շատ հիասթափեցնող է»:
Սմիթն անդրադարձել է նաև իր վնասվածքին՝ խոստովանելով, որ շտապել է վերադարձի հարցում.
«Կարծում էի՝ շատ ավելի շուտ կվերադառնամ խաղադաշտ, վնասվածքս այնքան էլ լուրջ չէր: Սակայն ես չափազանց շտապեցի, ինչի պատճառով վերականգնումն ավելի երկար տևեց: Անհամբեր էի, անընդհատ ուզում էի մասնակցել հաջորդ հանդիպմանը, քանի որ առջևում հետաքրքիր խաղեր ունեինք: Հենց այդ պատճառով ամեն ինչ սխալ գնաց»:
