Մեծ Բրիտանիայի արքայազն Էնդրյու Մաունթբեթեն-Վինձորի նախկին կինը՝ Սառա Ֆերգյուսոնը, հայտնի որպես «Ֆերգի», ևս հայտնվել է Ջեֆրի Էփշտեյնի հետ կապերի շուրջ ծավալված սկանդալի կիզակետում։ Ամերիկյան իշխանությունների կողմից հրապարակված միլիոնավոր փաստաթղթերում առկա տվյալները ցույց են տալիս, որ Ֆերգյուսոնը կապ է պահպանել դատապարտված ֆինանսիստի հետ նույնիսկ նրա ազատ արձակումից հետո։ Ըստ հրապարակված նամակագրության՝ նա երբեմն դիմել է Էփշտեյնին ինչպես էմոցիոնալ, այնպես էլ ֆինանսական աջակցություն ստանալու համար։

Էնդրյուն և Ֆերգյուսոնը ամուսնացել էին 1986 թվականին Վեսթմինսթերյան աբբայությունում կայացած հանդիսավոր արարողությամբ և ունեն երկու դուստր՝ Բեատրիս և Եվգենիա արքայադուստրերը։ Չնայած 1996 թվականին պաշտոնապես ամուսնալուծվել էին, նրանք շարունակել էին ապրել նույն առանձնատանը մինչև անցյալ տարի։ Սակայն Էփշտեյնի գործի շուրջ նոր բացահայտումները, ներառյալ 2009 թվականին նրա ազատ արձակումից անմիջապես հետո ԱՄՆ-ում կազմակերպված այցելությունները, խիստ հարված են հասցրել ինչպես Էնդրյուի, այնպես էլ Ֆերգյուսոնի հեղինակությանը։

Վերջին ամիսներին Ֆերգյուսոնը հանրային միջոցառումներին չի երևում։ Նախկինում մի շարք բարեգործական կազմակերպություններ արդեն խզել էին նրա հետ համագործակցությունը։ Արքայական աղբյուրների փոխանցմամբ՝ Էնդրյուի նկատմամբ սահմանված սահմանափակումներից հետո Ֆերգյուսոնը ստիպված է եղել ինքնուրույն կազմակերպել իր բնակության հարցը։ Էփշտեյնի հետ կապերի շուրջ սկանդալը փաստացի փակել է նրանց հանրային վերականգնման հնարավորությունը՝ խորացնելով մեկուսացումը բրիտանական թագավորական ընտանիքի շրջանակում, փոխանցում է Reuters-ը։
