Իսպանիայում ձերբակալել են 20-ամյա հաքերի, որը թանկարժեք հյուրանոցներում համարներ էր ամրագրում և դրանց համար վճարում ընդամենը 0,01 եվրո։ Ոստիկանության տվյալներով, նա մանիպուլացիաներ էր անում առցանց վճարային համակարգի ամրագրման հարթակում այնպես, որ պատվերները երևում էին ամբողջությամբ վճարված, թեև իրականում գանձվում էր միայն մեկ ցենտ, հաղորդում է Bild-ը։ Նրա գործողություններից պատճառված վնասը գնահատվում է ավելի քան 20 հազար եվրո։
Վերջին անգամ երիտասարդը կանգ էր առել Մադրիդի Ritz հյուրանոցի լյուքս համարում, որի գինը մեկ գիշերվա համար կազմում էր մի քանի հազար եվրո։ Հենց այնտեղ էլ նրան ձերբակալել են կիբերհանցագործությունների դեմ պայքարի բաժնի աշխատակիցները, երբ նա սկսել էր Instagram-ում լուսանկարներ հրապարակել շքեղ համարից։
Քննությունը սկսվել է փետրվարի սկզբին՝ ամրագրման ծառայությունից ստացված «կասկածելի ակտիվության» ազդանշանից հետո։ Ստուգման ընթացքում պարզվել է, որ մի շարք ամրագրումների դեպքում նշված են եղել մեծ գումարներ, բայց գործնականում փոխանցվել էր միայն մեկ ցենտ։
Կասկածյալը ձերբակալությունից հետո ազատ է արձակվել, սակայն քննությունը շարունակվում է։ Իրավապահները նաև ստուգում են, թե քանի հյուրանոց կարող էր տուժել այս սխեմայից։
