Նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանը երեքշաբթի հայտարարել է, որ Թուրքիան «ինտենսիվ» դիվանագիտական ջանքեր է գործադրում Մերձավոր Արևելքն ընդգրկող հակամարտությունը դադարեցնելու համար, որը սկսվել է Իրանի վրա իսրայելա-ամերիկյան հարվածներից, հաղորդում է Ֆրանսպրես գործակալությունը։
«Իրանի վրա հարձակումները, ինչպես նաև հարևան Պարսից ծոցի երկրների վրա Իրանի հրթիռային և ինքնասպանական անօդաչու թռչող սարքերի հարձակումները խթանում են անկայունությունը»,- ասել է նա հեռուստատեսային ելույթում։
«Մենք ինտենսիվ ջանքեր ենք գործադրում խաղաղ դիվանագիտության միջոցով՝ բանակցությունների սեղանի շուրջ խնդիրները լուծելու համար»,- հավելել է Թուրքիայի նախագահը։
Ավելի վաղ արտգործնախարար Հաքան Ֆիդանը հանդիպել է Վաշինգտոնի Սիրիայի դեսպան Թոմ Բարաքի հետ, հայտնել են նախարարության աղբյուրները։
Նա զրուցել է նաև իր բրիտանացի գործընկեր Իվետ Քուփերի հետ՝ քննարկելու «տարածաշրջանում առկա անվտանգության իրավիճակը»՝ «մանրամասն գնահատելով այն դիվանագիտական ջանքերը, որոնք կարող են ձեռնարկվել մարտական գործողությունները դադարեցնելու և կայունություն հաստատելու համար»։
Նա միաժամանակ տարածաշրջանային զարգացումները քննարկել է Կատարի վարչապետ շեյխ Մոհամմեդ բին Աբդուլռահման ալ Թանիի, իր հույն գործընկեր Գիորգոս Գերապետրիտիսի և Իրաքյան Քուրդիստանի նախագահ Նեչիրվան Բարզանիի հետ։
