Հակաբիոտիկներ ընդունելուց հետո աղիքային միկրոբիոմի վերականգնման համար կարող է շատ ավելի երկար ժամանակ պահանջվել, քան նախկինում կարծում էին: Նոր ուսումնասիրությունը ցույց է տվել, որ աղիքային մանրէների փոփոխությունները կարող են պահպանվել բուժումից հետո չորսից ութ տարի: Ուսումնասիրությունը հրապարակվել է Nature Medicine ամսագրում:
Ուփսալայի համալսարանի գիտնականները վերլուծել են 14,979 շվեդ չափահասների տվյալներ և համեմատել նրանց հակաբիոտիկների օգտագործման պատմությունը աղիքային միկրոբիոմի հետ։ Արդյունքները ցույց են տվել, որ նույնիսկ բուժումից մի քանի տարի անց աղիքային մանրէների կազմը մնում է կապված անձի նախկինում ընդունած հակաբիոտիկների հետ։
Պարզվել է նաև, որ որոշակի հակաբիոտիկների նույնիսկ մեկ կուրսը կարող է երկարատև փոփոխություններ թողնել: Ամենաէական ազդեցությունը նկատվել է կլինդամիցինով, ֆտորքինոլոններով և ֆլուկլոքսացիլինով բուժումից հետո: Միևնույն ժամանակ, տարածված հակաբիոտիկ պենիցիլին V-ն կապված էր միկրոբիոմում միայն համեմատաբար աննշան և կարճաժամկետ փոփոխությունների հետ:
Հեղինակները ընդգծում են, որ հակաբիոտիկները շարունակում են մնալ կարևոր և հաճախ կյանք փրկող դեղամիջոցներ: Այնուամենայնիվ, նոր տվյալները ցույց են տալիս, որ աղիքային միկրոբիոմի հավասարակշռության վերականգնումը կարող է շատ ավելի երկար տևել, քան սպասվում էր, մի գործոն, որը պետք է հաշվի առնել բուժում ընտրելիս և հակաբիոտիկների առողջության վրա ազդեցության հետագա ուսումնասիրության ժամանակ:
