Պարզվել է, որ ֆիզիկական վարժությունների պակասը անմիջականորեն կապված է հանկարծակի սրտային մահվան ռիսկի հետ. ֆիզիկապես ակտիվ մարդիկ գրեթե կիսով չափ կրճատում ունեն այդ ռիսկը: Այս եզրակացությանն են հանգել Տոկայի համալսարանի բժշկական դպրոցի դոցենտ Շոտարո Իսոձակիի գլխավորությամբ հետազոտողները:

Հանկարծակի սրտային մահը կյանքի անսպասելի ավարտն է սրտի անբավարարության պատճառով։ Այն կարող է տեղի ունենալ արագ՝ ախտանիշների ի հայտ գալուց անմիջապես հետո կամ ընդհանրապես առանց դրանց, նույնիսկ լուրջ առողջական խնդիրներ չունեցող մարդկանց մոտ։

Գիտնականները վերլուծել են ավելի քան 10,000 մարդկանց տվյալներ, որոնց հետևել են մոտ 28 տարի։ Համեմատությունը ցույց է տվել, որ ավելի ակտիվ մարդիկ մոտ 50%-ով ավելի քիչ հավանականություն ունեն նման դեպքերի հանդիպելու։ Այս արդյունքը պահպանվել է նույնիսկ տարիքը, առողջությունը և կենսակերպի գործոնները հաշվի առնելուց հետո։

Ավելին, ցածր ակտիվությունը հաճախ կապված է այլ անբարենպաստ գործոնների հետ: Հետազոտողի կարծիքով՝ նստակյաց մարդիկ ավելի հակված են ունենալ քրոնիկ հիվանդություններ և սովորություններ, որոնք իրենք են մեծացնում ռիսկերը: Չնայած այս պարամետրերը հաշվի են առնվել վերլուծության մեջ, դրանց ազդեցությունը լիովին չի կարելի բացառել:

Հատկապես կարևոր է ընդգծել, որ ոչ միայն երիտասարդության տարիներին ակտիվ լինելն է կարևոր։ Ավելի կարևոր գործոն է ներկայիս կենսակերպը։ Նույնիսկ միջին կամ ծեր տարիքում ավելի ակտիվ լինելը կարող է նվազեցնել սրտի հանկարծակի մահվան ռիսկը։

Ուսումնասիրության մեջ ֆիզիկական ակտիվությունը սահմանվել է ոչ միայն որպես սպորտային գործունեություն, այլև որպես ամենօրյա շարժումներ, ճանապարհորդություններ և օրվա ընթացքում ակտիվության մակարդակներ։
