Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցու Գերմանիայի Հայոց թեմի առաջնորդ Գերաշնորհ Տ․ Սերովբե եպիսկոպոս Իսախանյանը դատապարտում է այն փաստը, որ Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսին թույլ չի տրվել մեկնել երկրից և մասնակցել Համայն Վրաց Կաթողիկոս-Պատրիարքի հուղարկավորությանը.

«Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսին թույլ չի տրվել մասնակցել Համայն Վրաց Կաթողիկոս-Պատրիարքի հուղարկավորությանը։ Քննիչը մերժել է փաստաբանի միջոցով ներկայացված համապատասխան միջնորդությունը։

Լուրը կարդալիս մեծ ցավ ու հիասթափություն ապրեցի։ Քննիչի այս քայլը պարզ որոշում չէ։ Սա վերաբերմունք է։

Ի՞նչ ենք մենք ասում աշխարհին այս քայլով։ Որ մեր երկիրը ի վիճակի չէ տարբերել իրավական գործընթացը մարդկային արժանապատվությունից։ Որ մենք պատրաստ ենք խախտել դարերով ձևավորված եկեղեցական դիվանագիտության նուրբ հավասարակշռությունը՝ հանուն անտրամաբանական կոշտության։

Այս որոշման մեջ չկա ո՛չ խոհեմություն, ո՛չ լայնախոհություն, այլ անիմաստ կոշտություն, որը չի տեղավորվում ո՛չ ազգային մտածողության մեջ, ոչ էլ պետական պատասխանատվության շրջանակում։

Եվ ցավալին այն է, որ նման քայլերով մենք ինքներս ենք փոքրացնում մեզ՝ թե՛ ներսում, թե՛ դրսում։ Պետությունը ուժեղ չէ այն ժամանակ, երբ անզիջում է, այլ այն ժամանակ, երբ կարողանում է տարբերել օրենքի տառը և ոգին։ Իսկ այստեղ, ցավոք, երկուսն էլ մոռացվել են։

Այս ամենը մեզ կանգնեցնում է լուրջ հարցի առաջ․ արդյոք մենք մոռանո՞ւմ ենք, թե ովքեր ենք։ Եկեղեցին երբեք չի եղել ընդդիմություն պետությանը․ նա եղել է նրա հոգին։ Իսկ երբ հոգին վիրավորվում է, մարմինը երկար չի կարող առողջ մնալ։

Ես ցավ եմ ապրում, որովհետև տեսնում եմ ոչ թե ինչ-որ սովորական որոշում, այլ մի ընթացք, որը հեռացնում է մեզ մեր արմատներից։ Եվ այդ ցավը ոչ թե բողոք է միայն, այլ մաղթանք ու աղոթք` որ սթափություն վերադառնա, որ խոհեմությունը հաղթի ձևականությանը, և որ մեր ժողովուրդը չկորցնի իր հոգևոր դեմքը այս բարդ ժամանակներում»։
