ԱՄՆ-ը և տարածաշրջանային միջնորդների խումբը քննարկում են արդեն հինգշաբթի օրը Իրանի հետ բարձր մակարդակի խաղաղության բանակցություններ անցկացնելու հնարավորությունը, սակայն դեռևս սպասում են Թեհրանի պատասխանին: Axios-ին հայտնել են քննարկումներին ծանոթ երկու աղբյուրներ:

ԱՄՆ նախագահ Թրամփը շահագրգռված է պատերազմը դադարեցնելով, սակայն Հորմուզի նեղուցի վրա Իրանի վերահսկողությունը բարդացնում է ցանկացած հնարավոր ելքի ռազմավարություն: ԱՄՆ-ն Իսրայելին է ներկայացրել պատերազմը դադարեցնելու իր 15 կետանոց ծրագիրը և հայտարարել, որ Իրանը համաձայնել է բազմաթիվ կարևոր կետերի: Նման համաձայնագրի որևէ իրական ապացույց դեռևս չկա:

Ըստ երկու իսրայելական աղբյուրների՝ Իսրայելի վարչապետ Բենիամին Նեթանյահուն մտահոգված է, որ Թրամփը կարող է գործարք կնքել, որը զգալիորեն կշեղվի Իսրայելի նպատակներից, կներառի զգալի զիջումներ և կսահմանափակի Իսրայելի՝ Իրանին հարվածելու կարողությունը:

Մեկ այլ աղբյուր հայտնել է, որ իսրայելցի առաջնորդները կասկածանքով են վերաբերվում այն ​​​​մտքին, որ Իրանն իրականում առաջարկել է այն զիջումները, որոնց մասին հայտարարել է ԱՄՆ-ը:
