«Մենք այս ի՞նչ արեցինք տղերք, մենք այս ի՞նչ արեցինք:
Բանտը մի նոր դպրոց է, որտեղ ամեն ինչ սկսվում է մի նոր այբուբենից՝ տառ առ տառ:
Էս ինչ լավ էր, որ ինձ բանտարկեցին: Որքան արժանապատիվ, լավ մարդկանց հետ ծանոթացա, որքան լավ բաներ սովորեցի, որ քաղաքացիական կյանքում չգիտեի:
Փակի տակ լինել, չի նշանակում փակված լինել: Մարդ պետք է հոգով ազատ լինի: Ոչ մի պատ կամ ճաղավանդակ չի կարող մարդու հոգին կամ միտքը բանտել:
Ես նառի վրա նստած մտածում եմ անցած մեր փառահեղ օրերի մասին: Ինչպիսի խելահեղ օրեր էին, ինչ հզոր ոգևորություն կար, ինչպիսի փառավոր հաղթանակներ կերտեցինք: Եվ գիտեք ինչու, որովհետև հավատ ունեինք առ Աստված, առ հայրենիք: Բոլորիս թիկունքներին ու կրծքերին խաչ էր նկարած, որտեղ (մեր պատմական հողերում) եկեղեցի էինք տեսնում աղոթք էինք մրմջում, խաչակնքվում, որ տերը պահապան դառնա: Առանց Աստծո օգնության ու օրհնության հաղթանակներ չեն լինում:
Մենք այս ի՞նչ արեցինք, տղերք, մենք այս ի՞նչ արեցինք:
Մենք ո՞նց կարողացանք տղերք, այդքան փորձությունների միջով անցնելուց հետո հավատալ մեկին, ով ոչինչ չուներ արած այս արևի լույսի ներքո: Արածով, ապրածով են հաղթանակներ կերտում տղերք, հավատով են հաղթանակներ կերտում: Ով մեր բոլորի խոսքը Աստծուն էր հասցնում մենք դուրս եկանք իրենց դեմ:
Այդպես չի լինում տղերք, այդպես չի լինում: Մենք դուրս եկանք Աստծո դեմ: Աստված մեզ չներեց:
