Ռուսական կողմը ՌԴ երկաթուղային կոնցեսիայի Հայաստանին հնարավոր փոխանցման մասին պատմությունն իմացել է այլ երկրների գործընկերներից. Մոսկվայի հետ ոչ ոք նման հարց չի քննարկել: «Вести»-ին ասել է Ռուսաստանի փոխվարչապետ Ալեքսեյ Օվերչուկը, հաղորդում է ТАСС գործակալությունը։

«Դա շատ հետաքրքիր պատմություն է, քանի որ ոչ ոք Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության հետ կոնցեսիայի փոխանցման հարցը չի քննարկում: Համենայն դեպս, մինչև այսօր ոչ ոք չի քննարկել: Եվ մենք այս մասին գիտենք միայն այլ երկրների մեր գործընկերներից: Արաբական Միացյալ Էմիրություններից մարդիկ կապ են հաստատում մեզ հետ, իսկ Ղազախստանից մարդիկ խոսում են մեզ հետ այդ մասին, բայց ոչ ոք մեզ հետ չի խոսում մեր կոնցեսիայի մասին: Դա շատ հետաքրքիր է»,- նշել է նա։

Փետրվարի 13-ին Հայաստանի վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը լրագրողներին պատմել է, որ Երևանն առաջարկել է վաճառել հանրապետության երկաթուղու իր կոնցեսիան մի պետության, որը բարեկամաբար է վերաբերվում և՛ Մոսկվային, և՛ Երևանին: Այլընտրանքների շարքում նա նշել է Ղազախստանը, Արաբական Միացյալ Էմիրությունները և Կատարը: Փաշինյանը պնդել է նաև, որ Հայաստանը Ռուսաստանի դեմ ոչինչ չունի, սակայն ռուսական կոնցեսիան հանրապետության համար «որոշակի մրցակցային կորուստներ է ստեղծում»։

2008 թվականի փետրվարի 13-ին Երևանում «Ռուսական երկաթուղիներ»-ի և Հայաստանի Հանրապետության միջև ստորագրվեց կոնցեսիոն պայմանագիր, որով երկրի երկաթուղային համակարգը փոխանցվեց «Հարավկովկասյան երկաթուղիներ»-ի կառավարմանը։ Ըստ պայմանագրի՝ կոնցեսիայի ժամկետը 30 տարի է՝ շահագործման առաջին 20 տարիներից հետո այն ևս 10 տարով երկարաձգելու իրավունքով՝ երկու կողմերի փոխադարձ համաձայնությամբ։
