Արևային վահանակները անսպասելիորեն դրական ազդեցություն են ունեցել մոտակա բույսերի վրա

Մոխավե անապատում՝ ԱՄՆ-ում ամենամեծ Ջեմինի արևային նախագծի մոտ, տեղի է ունեցել անսպասելի մի բան. հազվագյուտ բույսի՝ եռաշերտ կաթնատու վեչխիի պոպուլյացիան 12-ից աճել է մինչև 93 նմուշ, գրում է gismeteo.ru–ն։
Շինարարները չեն հեռացրել հողի վերին շերտը, այլ պահպանել են բնական տեղագրությունը և ջրահեռացումը՝ ավազի մեջ թաքնված սերմերի բանկը թողնելով անվնաս։ Վահանակները ստեղծել են հատուկ միկրոկլիմա. մասնակի ստվերը դանդաղեցրել է գոլորշիացումը, իսկ վահանակներից ջրի հոսքը շարքերի միջև լրացուցիչ խոնավություն է ապահովել։ Արդյունքում, վահանակների միջև ընկած միջանցքներում գտնվող բույսերը ավելի մեծ են եղել, ծաղկել են երեք շաբաթ շուտ և ութ անգամ ավելի շատ ծաղիկներ և տասն անգամ ավելի շատ պտուղներ են տվել, քան ցանկապատից դուրս գտնվող իրենց նմանակները։
Կենսունակության մակարդակը մնացել է նույնը, բայց սերմերը պահպանել են 100% բողբոջում՝ շնորհիվ իրենց կոշտ սերմերի ծածկույթների հարմարվողականություն հազվադեպ տեղումներին։
