Իրանը հրաժարվել է իր նախորդ պայմաններից մի քանիսից և համաձայնել է իր միջուկային ծրագիրը ներառել Միացյալ Նահանգների հետ բանակցությունների օրակարգում, հաղորդում է Al Arabiya-ն կիրակի օրը՝ հղում անելով աղբյուրներին։
Շաբաթ օրը իրանցի բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյան Reuters գործակալությանը հայտնել է, որ Թեհրանի առաջարկն առաջին հերթին ուղղված կլինի Հորմուզի նեղուցում նավագնացության վերականգնմանը և ԱՄՆ-ի կողմից ծովային շրջափակման դադարեցմանը՝ միջուկային բանակցությունները թողնելով ավելի ուշ փուլի համար։
Սակայն Al Arabiya-ի աղբյուրները հայտնել են, որ Իրանն այժմ համաձայնել է քննարկել իր միջուկային ծրագիրը՝ առաջարկելով սահմանափակել ուրանի հարստացումը մինչև 3,5 տոկոս և աստիճանաբար կրճատել արդեն գոյություն ունեցող հարստացված ուրանի պաշարները։ Վերանայված առաջարկը նաև ներառում է Հորմուզի նեղուցը աստիճանաբար կրկին բացելու առաջարկ՝ ԱՄՆ-ի կողմից շրջափակման վերացման դիմաց, հայտնել են աղբյուրները՝ հավելելով, որ Թեհրանը հրաժարվել է տարածաշրջանից ամերիկյան զորքերը դուրս բերելու իր պահանջից։ Աղբյուրների համաձայն, դրա փոխարեն Իրանն այժմ ձգտում է իր սահմանների մոտ ԱՄՆ-ի ռազմական ներկայության դադարեցման, ինչպես նաև ապագա հարձակումներից միջազգային երաշխիքների։
Ավելի վաղ ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը հայտարարել էր, որ ինքը դեռ պետք է ծանոթանա Իրանի նախնական առաջարկի ճշգրիտ ձևակերպմանը, սակայն դժվար թե ընդունի այն՝ նշելով, որ Թեհրանը դեռ «բավական բարձր գին չի վճարել»։
