Caucasus Heritage Watch-ի (CHW) փաստագրումը արձանագրում է հերթական ծանրակշիռ ապացույցը այն քաղաքականության, որը նպատակաուղղված է հայկական պատմամշակութային ժառանգության հետևողական ոչնչացմանը։ Այս մասին հայտնել է Արցախի մշակութային ժառանգության օմբուդսմեն, «Ազգային» պատմամշակութային ՀԿ փոխնախագահ Հովիկ Ավանեսովը։
Ստեփանակերտի հուշահամալիրի տարածքում գտնվող՝ Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-ամյակին նվիրված հուշարձանի ամբողջական վերացումը չի կարող մեկնաբանվել որպես մեկուսացված դեպք․ այն ակնհայտորեն տեղավորվում է մշակութային ժառանգության համակարգված վերացման և պատմական հիշողության ջնջման լայն գործընթացում։
Սպիտակ մարմարից կառուցված զանգակատունը, որը ներառում էր մասունքարան՝ Դեր Զորից բերված մարդկային աճյուններով, առանձնահատուկ խորհրդանշական նշանակություն ուներ։ Դեր Զորը հայկական հավաքական հիշողության մեջ ոչ միայն աշխարհագրական տեղանուն է, այլև ցեղասպանության ողբերգական գագաթնակետը մարմնավորող սիմվոլ, այն վայրը, որտեղ հարյուր հազարավոր հայեր ենթարկվել են զանգվածային կոտորածների, բռնի տեղահանության և մահվան երթերի։ Այդպիսի հուշարձանի ոչնչացումը նշանակում է ոչ միայն նյութական արժեքի կորուստ, այլև ուղղակի հարված պատմական հիշողությանը, զոհերի հիշատակին և նրանց ժառանգների ինքնությանը։
Airbus և Planet Labs ընկերությունների արբանյակային տվյալները հստակ փաստում են, որ հուշարձանը և հարակից ամբողջ հուշահամալիրը ոչնչացվել են 2025 թվականի հուլիսի 14-ից մինչև 2026 թվականի ապրիլի 25-ն ընկած ժամանակահատվածում։ Տվյալների այս ժամանակագրությունը վկայում է ոչ թե պատահական վնասի, այլ կանխամտածված և փուլային գործողության մասին, որի նպատակը տարածքի լիակատար «մաքրումն» էր հայկական ներկայության որևէ հետքից։
Այս գործողությունը պետք է դիտարկել միջազգային իրավունքի և մշակութային ժառանգության պաշտպանության համատեքստում։ Մշակութային արժեքների դիտավորյալ ոչնչացումը հակասում է միջազգային մի շարք կոնվենցիաների, այդ թվում՝ UNESCO-ի հովանու ներքո ընդունված փաստաթղթերին։ Սակայն տվյալ դեպքը ցույց է տալիս, որ նման գործողությունները շարունակվում են՝ հաճախ անպատժելիության պայմաններում, ինչը խթանում է դրանց կրկնությունը։
Ավելին, հուշարձանի ոչնչացումը կրում է ոչ միայն մշակութային, այլև հստակ քաղաքական և գաղափարական բնույթ։ Այն նպատակ ունի վերաձևավորելու տարածքի պատմական նարատիվը՝ ջնջելով հայկական ներկայության վկայությունները և ստեղծելով «դատարկ» պատմական տարածք։ Սա դասական օրինակ է մշակութային ցեղասպանության դրսևորման, երբ ոչնչացվում են ոչ միայն մարդիկ, այլև նրանց հիշողությունը, մշակույթը և գոյության նյութական ապացույցները։
Այսպիսով, Ստեփանակերտի Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցին նվիրված Զանգակատան ոչնչացումը պետք է գնահատվի ոչ թե որպես մեկ առանձին ակտ, այլ որպես շարունակական և համակարգված քաղաքականության բաղկացուցիչ մաս, որի նպատակն է հայկական պատմամշակութային ժառանգության վերացումը և պատմական հիշողության խեղաթյուրումը։ Այս իրողությունը պահանջում է ոչ միայն գիտական փաստագրում, այլև միջազգային հանրության հստակ և գործնական արձագանք։
