Սիրիահայերի համար վերջին 10 օրը խաղաղ է եղել: Սակայն դա խաբուսիկ խաղաղություն է եւ առավելապես նման է փոթորկից առաջ կարճատեւ հանգստության: Արաբագետ Սարգիս Գրիգորյանն ու «Ազգ» շաբաթաթերթի գլխավոր խմբագիր Հակոբ Ավետիքյանը հավաստիացնում են` իրավիճակը Սիրիայում օրհասական է, սիրիահայերի դրությունը` ծայրահեղ ծանր:Հակոբ Ավետիքյանը շեշտում է, որ վերջին օրերին ամեն օր զանգահարում է Հալեպ, Դամասկոս` ճշտելու տեղի հայության վիճակը: «Մայիսը ծանր ամիս էր Սիրիայի հայության համար, հայկական հաստատություններն էին ռմբակոծվում, եկեղեցին եւ այլն: Վերջին 10 օրերին, սակայն, դրությունը խաղաղ է: Բայց դա փոթորկից առաջ տիրող խաբուսիկ խաղաղություն է: Բոլորը սպասում են, որ Հալեպի վրա հարձակումներ կարող են լինել»,- ասաց Հակոբ Ավետիքյանը՝ հավելելով, որ համայնքից տեղեկացրել են, որ Հալեպում 35 հազարից 7000 հայ է մնացել: «Մնացել են տարբեր պատճառներով: Մի մասն ունի խանութ, տուն, որոնք իրենց բացակայությամբ անպայման կկողոպտվեն, մյուս մասի զավակները ծառայության մեջ են, մարդիկ չեն կարող իրենց երեխաներին թողնել ու դուրս գալ»,- ասաց Ավետիքյանը:
Խոսելով սիրիահայերի խնդրի մասին՝ Սարգիս Գրիգորյանն ասաց, որ «Իսլամական պետության» զինյալները շարժվում են դեպի քրդաբնակ շրջաններ: «Այս պահին «Իսլամական պետությունն» ու ընդդիմադիր խմբավորումները, որոնց վերահսկողության տակ էր այդ հատվածը, պայքարում են միմյանց դեմ: Եթե Սիրիան կիսենք հյուսիսի եւ հարավի, հյուսիսային հատվածում են ընթանում գործողությունները, այնտեղ քրդեր են բնակվում: Թուրքիայի սահմանի մոտ է դա, եւ ես չեմ բացառում, որ ցամաքային գործողություններ էլ լինեն Թուրքիայի կողմից, եթե շարունակվի»,- ասաց Գրիգորյանը: Հակոբ Ավետիքյանի փոխանցմամբ, բազմաթիվ սիրիահայեր մեկնում են Բելգիա եւ Գերմանիա, սակայն այնտեղ նրանք չեն կարողանում հարմարվել. նրանց մոտ բացի հոգեբանական ճգնաժամից նաեւ նյութական խնդիրներ են առաջանում: Այս առումով Ավետիքյանը շեշտում է, որ լավագույն տարբերակն այն կլինի, որ Վիզայի եւ քաղաքացիություն ստանալու համար գումար չվերցնելուն զուգահեռ Հայաստանում քայլեր ձեռնարկեն սիրիահայերին բնակարանով ապահովելու ուղղությամբ: Քանի որ Հայաստանում բնակարանները թանկ են, լավագույն տարբերակն, ըստ Ավետիքյանի, կարող է լինել Արցախը: Ինչ վերաբերում Õ § սիրիահայերի գալուն, ապա Ավետիքյանը հավաստիացնում է, որ նրանք լավ հեղինակություն ունեն, երկար աշխատելու սովոր են եւ աշխատանքից չեն բողոքում:
