Նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի դժգոհությունը հարուցող գործոններից մեկը պատերազմի հասցրած վնասի փոխհատուցման վերաբերյալ Իրանի պահանջն է։ Դրա մասին հայտնում է Associated Press գործակալությունը՝ հղում անելով տարածաշրջանային դիվանագետներին։

Աղբյուրները նշել են, որ, ըստ ընդունված ավանդույթի, ռազմատուգանքները վճարում է պարտված կողմը։ Թրամփը ծայրաստիճան զգուշավորությամբ է վերաբերվում իրանական առաջարկներում « ռազմատուգանք» եզրույթի հայտնվելուն, քանի որ նման ձևակերպման հետ համաձայնելը կարող է դիտարկվել որպես ԱՄՆ-ի պարտության ընդունում։

Դիվանագետներից մեկը հավելել է, որ Պակիստանն այժմ աշխատում է Միացյալ Նահանգների և Իրանի միջև փոխըմբռնման հուշագրի նախապատրաստման միջնորդության ուղղությամբ։ Փաստաթղթի նպատակն է պատերազմի դադարեցումը և չլուծված հարցերի շուրջ ավելի լայն երկխոսության պահպանումը։

Ըստ նրա՝ Իսլամաբադը վայելում է տարածաշրջանի այլ երկրների աջակցությունը։ Վարչապետ Շահբազ Շարիֆը, արտգործնախարար Իսհակ Դարը և բանակի հրամանատար, ֆելդմարշալ Ասիմ Մունիրը կապի մեջ են հակամարտող երկու կողմերի, ինչպես նաև տարածաշրջանային կառավարությունների հետ։ Նրանց ջանքերն ուղղված են հրադադարի ռեժիմի պահպանմանը, պատերազմի վերջնական դադարեցմանը և հաջորդ շաբաթ առերես բանակցություններ անցկացնելու շուրջ կողմերի համաձայնության ձեռքբերմանը։
