Ֆրանսիայի Լիոն քաղաքում տեղի ունեցած ուշուի Եվրոպայի 20-րդ առաջնությունում Հայաստանի տարբեր տարիքային հավաքականները նվաճել են 27 մեդալ, որից 14 ոսկե (13 սանդա, 1-ը՝ թաոլու մրցաձևում), 11-ն՝ արծաթե (8` սանդա, 3-ը՝ թաոլու մրցաձևում) , 2-ը՝ բրոնզե (սանդա):

Մեծահասակների պայքարում Հայաստանի հավաքականը նվաճել է 5-ական ոսկե ու արծաթե և երկու բրոնզե մեդալ։ Թաոլու ոճում Արտաշես Ալավերդյան - Չոյ Լի Ֆուտ ոճի պատանիների արծաթե մեդալակիր: Սիրանուշ Ավագյան - Չոյ Լի Ֆուտ ոճի պատանիների արծաթե մեդալակիր: Արտաշես Ավագյանը - Հունգար ոճի մեծահասակների ոսկե մեդալակիր, Դաոշու (լայն թուր) ոճում՝ արծաթե մեդալակիր:

Հիշեցնենք, որ Եվրոպայի առաջնությունում Հայաստանը հանդես էր գալիս 29 մարզիկով։ 24 մարզիկ հանդես էին գալիս Սանդա, իսկ 5-ը՝ Թաոլու մրցաձևում։ Հայաստանն առաջնությունում ներկայացված էր նաև մրցավարական անձնակազմով։ Հայաստանի պատվիրակությունը մրցավայր էր մեկնել ֆեդերացիայի նախագահ Ռուստամ Ալավերդյանի գլխավորությամբ։
